Disable "sleep mode" on Daly BMS via UART and Sinowealth?

Hi Guys
So I finally got my UART cables from Daly and am running the sinowealth software to monitor and make changes. I am not seeing anywhere in the program or user manual to change sleep time? Anyone figure out? PS the bluetooth app is of no use to me as I bought an early model where the app is for viewing only, no changes.

Ok, maybee I missunderstood your problem. I set the "Sleep waiting time" via the bluetooth app by tapping "Set" twice. I was just trying to connect Sinowealth software to the UART but havent got it running yet (wrong adapter).

Set what value? Where? Thanks.
using the Daly app set sleep waiting time to 15300. PW is 123456. I've had the BT on for the past 4 days, app connects every time so far, so 15300 seems to work for me. Have not had the BMS cut out yet, so don't know if when that happens, and when I reactivate the BMS, will BT automatically come back on. I can connect the Sinowealth SW and did a scan, but have not made any changes using Sinowealth yet. Only made some changes via Daly app so far. Will try making Parameter changes via Sinowealth in the near future and will report back. BWT connect with Daly PC Master SW, seems to connect, but can't see or do anything to my BMS , it's a 4S 12V 100A Daly.

What issue were you getting before changing the sleep timer? my Smart BMS app will show my 4s battery correctly for a while then show like 30 batteries and 17 temp sensors and 26volts out of the blue. Can only "fix" it by disconnecting B- from the battery.

The only issue I got prior to changing sleep timer to "15300" was the BT would not be on when trying to connect via app. Since setting 15300, BT connects every time. Didn't have a single failure in nearly 5 days. Have since disassembled the battery pack, to top balance the cells.

Yes mine did that a couple of times too when l was testing stuff ,,,, pretty odd

What exactly is the Sleep Time? Is it how long the BT stays connected or is it how long the BMS is active before ... hibernating?

I think I can answer my own question now. It appears to be the time (in seconds) that the BMS is active after charging or discharging ends. Probably a power saving feature. During this time, the BT interface (and probably the PC interface) is inactive as well. The BMS seems to automatically wakeup when a load appears or charging begins.

That is exactly what the two i have do. Just put a load or charger on it and it fires up. Sometimes i just use a ohm meter between p an b leads.

My 4S 100amp BMS uses 10 ma. while awake and about 1 ma. asleep. 95% of this current flows in the sense leads so they must have a degree of isolation from the B- lead.

In the sinowealth Software you can Set this under MCU / PowerDownDelay with 255 Sec

Follow up to my findings regarding keeping BT connected. Since changing the sleep time to 15300 in Jan this year, BT connects every time. I just leave BT connected and on, doesn't use much power from my 120ahr 12V battery.

15300 seems very arbitrary to me.... 65535 is -1 if a computer is using a 16 bit integer so that makes sense.... Anyone got a source for the 15300 sleep time? It's 255 minutes, it's 4h15m.... is there something magic about this time?

255 is max value for 8bit, it sounds good, and works.
