Just purchased my first LifePo4. For my first DYI project.
I will update everyone on these batteries when I get them.

Looks like they are hinting that they may be from the same supplier that Battle born uses.

As I posted in your other thread Battle Born uses 120 batteries in 4 3.2V banks of 30 cells.
This uses 20 cell banks so 80 cells total.

I vaguely remember another LFP battery company out of Florida? that uses cells like these.

You didn't look at the listing too hard. If you look at the pictures of the pack without the heat shrink, you can see they are using Battery Hook Up's proprietary/private labeled cells like these

Cylindrical cells - Battle Born batteries use a 4s30p configuration of 26650 stainless-steel cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells.
Cylindrical lithium cells typically have much more power, better performance and greater longevity than prismatic cells.

I plan to add a solar charge controller and an AC Charger.
Primarily this project will be used as a portable power bank and will mostly be charged with AC power.

I'm considering a Victron, I like the Bluetooth feature and know they have a good reputation. There are many models and Amperages available. I'm building with battery expandability in mind.
Current batteries have a capacity of 1280Wh in the future I might double that capacity.

Or this one.

What BMS are you going to use?

DALY BMS. Just have to find the right one.

I'm considering a Daly. There are 80 batteries in the pack.

The batteries are 20P. 4 packs. So only need 4 leads.

For smaller batts like that, I use hobby chargers that I have had forever. Or even automotive chargers

Good idea. I have serval of them. Not's need a specialized LifePo4 charger?

I just saw a video where they used an old laptop charger and plugged it into the Solar Charge controller (just replaced the plug}
That was smart.

You may want to consider the Overkill Solar.

From Aliexpress it is this one 4s LFP 120A UART

If you don't have an inverter yet then an inverter charger with integrated transfer switch like this one.

Thanks for all the recommendations.
That's a nice inverter, but very expensive. I will keep it in mind if I need heavy loads.

Overkill Solar looks great. Will check into their BMS. I already looked at the AIMS power converter, It's on my shortlist.

I believe the listing said they were assembled by the same supplier that BB uses, but they used their proprietary BatteryHookup cells as pictured.

Nope... Battle Born is never mentioned in the listing. There a very vague reference to "a company that charges $950kwh" get you to think that. BB uses 120 cells in their 100ah batt. This build is 80 larger cells. There is nothing BB about this

You're right, BB isn't mentioned but it is obvious that's who it is. I think you're missing the point about the assembler...doesn't matter how many cells are in a battery, they have to be assembled. They used the same assembler to build these packs...cell counts and cells are different.

Battle Born assembles their own batteries from individual cells in their factory in Nevada. @Will Prowse

So how did your project end up? And what BMS did you use?
