This pure sine 2K/4K surge 12v Aeliussin brand inverter caught my eye...

I have been seeing info that the full 2000w ratings of some inverters is not available through only one of the ac plug outlets. I don't know if that is the reason for some reports of GoWise not meeting the rating. But This has only one AC plug outlet. SO I am wondering if it may help and is there any truth to that?

Also any first hand experiences with it are even better.

The inverter selection seem to be the hardest thing to get a consensus on...This is a lick to it:

 
How do you even say that? Looks like just another cheep inverter.

Perhaps they could hire some native english speakers to help them come up with names?

Do you think it's my asking about the single vs split outlet responces from sellers to complaints, I will take that as you don't think it's true. Was that it?

Were you asking because I asked if others had experiences with the brand because you know it is new on the market?

Do you just know them to be outright trash?

I know that most of these cheeper ones are made by that one company. But To answer your question I asked those questions because I don't have the answers to them....

I had the 1000 watt model of the inverter. The fans were extremely loud and the cables that came with it sucked. On the plus side it had 3 outlets and performed well although I didn't push it much over 400 watts. I used it for capacity testing my battery and it went back to Amazon. I thought about keeping it but I could not stand the loud fans.

I would be very cautious using a 2000 watt inverter with one AC outlet. I am very surprised it doesn't have the ability to hard wire. The max output of the standard AC plug in homes is 15 amps. IMO an inverter including AC outlets rated over 1500 watts should have an option for hard wiring.
 
It is atrange that the lowerWattage version has more than one outlet. I see one of the 24V 2000W has two outlets + high power output terminals.
 
I have seen those as well. Some provide 10 amps, around 1100 watts depending on the voltage, from the AC outlets and that's all I would count on. The hardwire provides the full wattage.

The company I bought mine from has two AC outlets and I was told they are rated at 10 amps. I also have hardwire for the input and output. I will probably get a power strip to get the rest of the wattage for testing. My loads are small but I would like to run the inverter continuously at around 1500 watts for a while to test. And eventually the full 2000 watts.
 
That type of plug is only rated to 1750 watts-standard 120v 15 amp outlet, the capacity of the unit may be greater, they should have used a 20 amp outlet. These less expensive inverters use the same basic design as any other high frequency but some may use lesser quality components. That being said I have had to replace "high quality" IGBT's on a brand name inverter, I used lower quality ones because my troubleshooting capability has diminished with age ....but it still works fine now....
It's a bit of a crap shoot.....
If you are lacking confidence in the budget inverter selection get a Xantrex Prowatt or Samlex LF inverter, a few dollars more but better quality components.

Thanks... the fan noise would be a bummer and looking for a hard wire one makes sense. But just out of curiosity what do you think of using the gowise that Will recommends, or any other one with more than one outlet, but then splicing two male 15a male plugs into a single 30a female plug for attachment into the trailer's 30a shore power line?

It sure is... reviews are all over the place on any single one of these off brand all the same ones. Thanks so much for the names! I am looking for something less...dicey. But I don't have anywhere near the $1600 for a Magnum like some people mentioned. I will start looking into those.

What you are describing does make sense and should work. Here is a post describing the same thing. Hopefully someone else with experience will reply.

The reviews on the gowise are sketchy. You can get a Samlex inverter from Don Rowe for $360.00. The gowise might be ok but getting support if needed might be a pain.

That's better but it's not a Samlex...lol. And the cables that come with it are trash. If you don't run it continuously at 2200 watts it will probably be fine but please get good cables. And please report back with a 100 page review after you have received it. 75 pages might have to be about fan noise...lol. Just kidding... :)

But still anything you have to say good or bad about it will be helpful to others. Happy you found something you like.

Will do. I wish the Samlex had a hardwire out, 15-18 amps out on those two plugs... seems confusing to me. I mean why have no output that can deliver what the guts can provide...makes no sense. ....Anyways 4-10 on the crap wires. I will be running two 4S 12v Parallel into it so I have 4 gauge coming from Windy Nation already. If I feel even a hint of warmth I will cannibalize that for the parallel connection and go straight to 2 or even 1/0. I do have 30 days to check it out. If it's too noisy Or doesn't provide full load off the hard wire It will just go back for exactly that reason. So thanks for putting that on my radar as well.

Samlex is one of the top inverter manufacturers. I have no doubt they used outlets that can handle more than the inverter is capable of. Plus the inverter I linked to is ETL listed, same as UL listed. So the outlets have to meet the rating of the inverter.

Will be looking forward to your thoughts about the Giandel.
