$2948 for (32) (280aH)(New) LiFePO4

I know that 99.99% of the ppl don't believe this but the oil industry is very careful in making sure certain things don't get into the soil .... then again - when we make a mistake its a doooozy ....
I can believe that, we do contract work for BP and having made the biggest doooozy a few years ago they are super-ultra careful now

I had 20 yrs in the patch BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.
A much different patch from the one I started in back 1992. Back then, the best solution for pollution was dilution. That is if your couldn't bury or burn it.
Things really turned a corner up here about 2007-2008 with the ramp up of company safety and environmental policies. COR and IRP 16 certifications. The safety meetings are a royal pain somedays, but at least stewardship and safety is now top of mind. 2008 we lost 6 brothers and sisters in the patch here locally due to stupidity, errors, or ignorance. I don't think we've lost 6 combined since then, thankfully..

Hello all, afaik this is the latest greatest thread for 280AH cell purchases. HOWEVER I'm still lost on this, I don't have any contact information for any "Amy"s or companies, and if it takes 45 days plus to get the cells I need to be ordering now.

I'm 100% mobile, traveling and not in any particular place, but having a destination to land cells and panels and coplete the solar project anchors me to somewhere, which is currently along the Gulf Coast.

Would any of you heavy hitters be willing to help me along in the background before I mis-spend $3400 for lack of experience and expertise?

My thoughts are 1) buy the batteries and get that ball rolling 2) buy the solar panels, SCC etc and get them installed while waiting for the batts.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Sounds like you are just starting out. You may want to do some reading through here and then start a thread with your design to collect input. Amy is co-owner of Shenzhen Luyuan (https://szluyuan.en.alibaba.com/) and is one of the battery suppliers that people on this forum have used. If you are expecting to have items in 45 days, you probably want to try and find a source within the USA since shipping from China is highly variable at the moment and I would count on 90 days for planning purposes.

Here is the thread to find "our" Amy: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/introducing-the-new-improved-shenzhen-luyuan-technology-co.15880/

You plan sounds good. It's the small parts, like cable lugs, that will hold up your project.

Thanks for these two replies and resources. I do plan to make a thread, just don't want to make one that is not sufficiently informed. I appreciate your expedient and considerate replies/suggestions. Thanks for setting more realistic shipping expectations fort lower prices from CH.

@ HRTKD - Once I pull the trigger on the qty of cells and know the post type, I can start right away getting or making the cable lugs, so I think I would have sufficient time to get them in hand. I saw the post with the flexible cable lug made from braided material like grounding strap, I like that idea. Does the Flat Panel Society have membership dues? I'll soon be poor again :D

Thanks in advance for future replies and assistance.

The only issue that I have with Amy's company is that they are charging allot more than what i think they need to be ... make sure that you pay for your batteries via Credit Card and that will protect you from either the batteries NOT being delivered -- or being delivered and obviously not Grade A new ... I bought 32 280aH LiFePO4 batteries recently for about 2900 ... others have been able to find 3000 and 3100 prices -- all of them from good vendors ... so just do a little detective work ... whatever you do -- make sure that you get DPP -- which is door to door with them paying all customs and shipping ...

DPP -> DDP
If you can get DDP, go for it by all means since you don't have nearly as much risk.

No dues, no meetings and no secret handshake!

That's not our problem. It's rather that we're afraid of getting too close to the edge and spilling over, when we go sailing.

I read in a thread whom NOT to buy from, but I'm way behind the 8 ball with you guys on other vendors. Due to the urgency of my needs, I may have to spend a few dollars more and just get it done.

This isn't even close to the price she quoted me yesterday, my jaw dropped @ fully 25% more than you're purchase.

@OTRwSolar Please answer the questions in this post.
For bonus points, please avoid prose as I have the attention span of a goldfish :).

Long ago I had a casual conversation with a grocery store checker.
She explained that some people load the belt in a way that made her life easier and some didn't.
It was a very important lesson for me.
I hope this doesn't come off as being a jerk.
Here is how I would like to see responses.

The original questions...
How thick is the cable from the battery positive all the way back to the battery negative?
How long is the round trip circuit?
Are there any hot spots?
Check all the connection points.

This is how I would like to see responses.
How thick is the cable from the battery positive all the way back to the battery negative?
4/0 awg all the way.
How long is the round trip circuit?
~8 feet round trip.
Are there any hot spots?
Yes or No.
(If yes, tell me which one.)

I hope this helps somebody.

so if my Chinese is holding up - its saying that these battery rankings and for both cars and truck batteries //// This is important since the numbers are different for SOLAR STORAGE but really - who cares ... its all good
Thanks for that. I would have never known. Stupid American!

Hi dude,
Fellow Norwegian here considering buying 16 of these cells. If you by any chance are situated in Trondheim region we might do a order together?
I usually live in Oslo but have been living in our cabin in Sweden (350km north east of Trondheim) last months I'm consider to buy batteries in late summer and if the border have opened up more by then I would also be interested in a group buy towards this region.

Ghostwriter buys a lot of cells and knows how to investigate sellers. She is also spending her companies money not her own hard-earned cash. She can find the deals and take risks. For myself, I intend to pay a bit of a premium price to Amy for a little hand-holding and peace of mind. Don't forget Michael Caro and the forums group buy as an option either. Finally, if you want something with shorter shipping times a member here sells Eneramp in kits with various levels of DIY. https://store.currentconnected.com/?product=ea170

Your definition of a "bit of a premium" is different then mine ... in the case you are refering to .. that "premium" was $1400 more or 33% ... for me thats just tooo much ...

Ali express...they deliver every time!
Remaining cycle life...+4000.....
You are not connected to any store? HMMMM Oke then.....:...try BLS....
Ship from your cheapest price, they will ship.
Also keep the shipping costs in mind and where it need to be shipped!
