Ecoflo melting car charger

Ive not sure how to reply. I run my fridge off the outlet no problem. It got so hot before the fuse blew it melted the plug in and was starting to melt the wires attached to the socket. They sent me a new one and it started to overheat almost immediately. They said, (ecoflo) they have new, different, plugs/cable, coming soon, but im unsure how that will help. All other ways the unit works great.

Can we see the pictures of the plug and the receptacle? May be the you are having contact resistance issue.

Eco-flow river max melting auto accesory plug. What if I bought a twelve volt inverter, plugged that into the car and plugged the ecoflow into that? Would that protect my wires from melting?

My Ecoflow Delta got my auto accessory 12 v socket hotter than I could comfortably touch after a couple of hours of charging. It was pulling over 130 watts according to the Delta, which is over the spec of such sockets. I'm not going to do that again. Charging off the car's 12 v battery with the car running might be an alternative.

Eco-flow has sent me a new charging cord and an email about how to do a reflash of my unit which will restrict the current it inputs. I have not done it yet, and am not sure I will. Im not very proficient at such things. I have learned to work around the issue. Im satisfied with their response.
