MPP-Solar LVX-6048

25-40 watts is extremely low. Even the Victron equipment is barely that low. I highly doubt the Voltronic (MPP and Growatt) is that low.
my 8000 max's are that low, provided is keep leds and display off.
more realistic
i just tried registering it in the smartphone app today and it doesn't look like it is working yet
it is for me, abeid useless

Hi, is there any document that show the principal of operation for the lvx6048, how it really work.

What is the difference between the lvx6048 and the lv6048. I can't seem to find this anywhere. Also, the input AC expected to be 240V?

Thanks
The lv only allows for 150 VDC but has 2 MPPT inputs compared to the lvx which allows for 450 VDC MPPT but only has 1 input.
I hooked mine up to 240 AC input, but I think there is the 120V AC option.

amemdt, I wonder if you can assist with another question.

attached are two ac input diagrams for the lv6048 from the manual. My questions is, do I have control over whether L1 and L2 are in phase or out of phase by 180 degrees. I understand that if they are 180 out of phase, I will get 240v. But it seems to me that the only place I have access to that situation in my house is from a 240v line in my electrical panel. So is this really 120v ac input? Thanks for your help.

Ask me a bitcoin question, that is my forte. :) Yes 240 AC is 180 degrees out of phase. The neutral is at most 5V off depending on which leg has more current. I was going to mention the LVX 6048 is UL listed and does allow for grid tie. and grid input.

Interesting, I just heard this back from MPP Solar:
Does the inverter have pass through capability. I’d think for it to pass through 240v splitphase it would need to have 120v-120v (both phases) connected to the AC input/charging input.

The AC Transfer Relay is rated at 40 Amps

I just measured the idle battery draw on mine (inverter on but all AC breakers off). 2.38A at 52.8V. Seems a bit high...gonna need more batteries

I'm having issues with grounding on mine. When the inverter is powered by solar+battery, everything is fine. At some point it'll switch to charging the battery with solar and powering the loads with the grid. When this happens one of the 120V GFCI breakers immediately trips in my subpanel and my tesla will also stop charging due to a "ground fault". I found another thread where people were having similar issues and some of them solved it by connecting the neutral inputs and outputs together. Unfortunately this didn't solve my issue. Strangely before I connected solar to my inverter, it would work fine regardless of whether the load was powered by the battery or the grid.

Edit: After awhile it started working again. Now when it's working the display shows the solar only going to the battery and the grid only going to loads. I'll try to catch it when it trips again to see the exact sub-mode it's in.

I have had my LV6048 for a couple of weeks and I want to connect it to a remote PC, wondering if anyone has done this. The LV6048 has an ethernet port aswell as a USB B port which I have thought of using.
