Rosen Solar from Alibaba, anyone have experience?

I ordered 2 8 kw Deye’s as well. They shipped about 3 weeks ago. Talking to the customs agent in Chicago, I’ll get hit with around a 25% import fee plus a couple hundred dollar fees along the way too. Still cheaper than 2 sol-arks though.
That's good to know....

The folks at Rosen told me it would be 18%, but I assumed it would be higher (up to 25%) after looking at the Tariff lists... so glad you could confirm that.

Also need to realize that with a Sol-Ark you still would be paying sales tax and shipping on those. in OK it's 4.5% sales tax, on an item that is 3 times more expensive that's 13.5%.... net difference in tax dollars you pay really isn't that much.

Aha , there's , I'm glad someone has asked about this ?I am in EU, Greece and I paid 24%VAT plus 434e customs charges . But the shipping agency charged me 464USD plus this and that plus vat on all of the extra charges and it came to more than the customs bill ! On a listed import cost of 5195 USD it added 2923 USD /2400 euros !!! Rosen had originally advised me that there were very few charges made for RE equipment entering Greece/EU , they were wrong ,I paid dearly.

@gramos100, did you get a chance to set up the system from Rosen Solar? How did everything go, and what do you think of the product quality? I'm really eager to know as I plan to purchase the whole system Panels, Gel Batteries, Inverter and cables. I would appreciate any feedback you can provide here. Thanks

My advice not to buy from Rosen Co. As they didn't respect there guarantee terms, and they didn't respond to the email and massage after you paid them

@Nizartaha, Thank you for the advice. What's your feedback about the quality of their products, please? did you pay them directly or was it through an escrow account(Trade Assurance)? Also, are you referring to the guarantee of products?

Deye inverter vs sol ark my understanding doesn't have ul rated . So it won't pass inspection .

Deye 8k has ul and ce certification ...i can only speak to the u.s 120/240 version.
That's not how it's works. A company needs to pay to have items tested to have ul rated. You can't connect a non ul rated inverter to the grid. By the way manual shows eu model Sent. Looks like it won't work based off the manual Sent above. We are " split phase" 120/240v not "single phase" 220v -240v. Plus manual doesn't show ul rated ?? Both output and certification list are in picture below....

This is from my 8k certification is listed at the bottom also deye has them listed in their store

@Roqm do you have a post on your setup? Would be interested in seeing what you did and any nuances with the deye. Thanks

I havent assembled anything yet as i literally just received my panels two days ago and now waiting on some minor parts..like the roof mounts lol...but soon

Finally someone posted ul listing. Only thing I really see is difference kw inverter size and charge controller specs way smaller. Of course different software. Does it come with ct sensors? So you can feed main panel without having electrical company come out to turn off meter to flip wires around?? ? warranty is cut in half too 5 years. I would rather buy a sol ark 12k for $6500 but that's in my
I believe solark can give 10yr warranty as they sell for tripple the price what you can buy straight from manufacturer....you essentially bought 3 inverters up front so there is no issue besides shipping to replace one in 10yrs.

@Firebird fyi there is a whole thread about this series of inverters, Deye/SunSynk/Sol-ark/Green-sun. They are all the same basically outside of the UI,even the modbus registers are the same that control the functions and UI.

(Greensun appears to be another rebranded Deye that also sells a N. American spec UL listed)

Well 3k more comparing 12k sol ark vs 8k deye for 10 year warranty vs 5 years. Little Bigger inverter size , usa customer support, larger mppt controller. Better case design. Software that looks like higher efficiency I would just stick to sol ark. It's at least then half a month of work on difference cost so I careless and not lose sleep over. That's just me. Every one has preference and I'll buy something that has little more performance and warranty coverage. I bought 3 inverters over seas. In last 5 years that failed. Warranty is joke anything from china. A they won't honor warranty or shipping cost to have it sent back and forth cost more then the item and has chance of being denied. Plus turn around time turns into a year.
dude case is 100% the same over all brands..
you are compairing a smaller inverterbto a larger one
deye 12k = sol-ark 12k = sunsynk 12k

only difference in the software is the font and logos.

dont know about rosen, but deyevis very serious about it's warrante

As far as i was told deye will not sell you(retail) the square inverter cased versions...they are licences to solark(u.s) sunsynk (africa) and others for different regions.

I bought 2 Deyes from Rosen solar. They’re sitting in my barn. I should have them hooked up in the next couple of weeks I hope.
