I am currently putting together a solar system for my RV, along with new batteries and a new inverter. I have already put in 3 x 100amp Battle Born lithium batteries and their battery isolator and they are working great. I am planning to put 4 x 250w solar panels on my RV, with each pair in series and each pair connected to its own 40amp solar controller. I am looking at the Epever 40a Tracer 4215BN or the Triron 4210N. The 4210N is newer, but the Tracer 4215BN looks more robust. Has anyone had specific experience with either one of these solar controllers with Battle Born batteries? The Tracer 4215BN does not automatically recognize lithium batteries, so how easy is it to program this controller to work with the Battle Borns? I have read and re-read Will's book on solar power systems, but I am definitely new to this and would appreciate any input. Thanks.

No experience with 4210N but we have several Epever 40a Tracer 4215BN's .. they are bullet proof and easy to program .. make sure you get the MT-50 to do the programming ... OR get the cable to use your computer ... but no issues at all after several years of having these ...
Have you used the Tracer 4215BN with Battle Born batteries? On Will's site he says this about the Tracer units: "If you use a AGM Sealed Lead Acid or Recommended Drop-in Lithium, you do not need to program anything." What setting would one use on the Tracer with a BB battery?

I'm asking because this unit is one of the options I'm considering for my DIY solar generator (got a single BB so far, may add another in the future).

Edit: Nevermind, I found this other related thread with information about programming the Epever units for BB batteries: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/epever-tracer-4210an-programming-problem.9526/#post-180695

Old thread, but links to above for setting up the epever lead to a disabled page. Can anyone supply needed information for setting up the epever for lithium batteries?

The EPever Tracer 4215bn I got a couple weeks ago has a default setting for lithium batteries, including LiFePo4. Didn't quite match what the battery manual recommends so I went with battery manual settings which are.
Charging limit voltage 14.6
Over voltage disconnect 15.0
Over voltage reconnect 14.2
Equalizer charging voltage 14.0
Float charging voltage 13.8
Boost charging voltage 13.8
Boost reconnect charging voltage 13.2
Low voltage disconnect 10.8
Low voltage reconnect 12.4
Under voltage warning 11.6
Under voltage warning reconnect 12.0
Discharge limit voltage 10.4
Over discharge disconnect voltage 10.4
Over discharge reconnect voltage 11.6
Over discharge delay time 0.8 seconds
Equalize duration 120 minutes
Boost interval not suitable for lithium batteries
Boost duration 120 minutes
