AC200 Max & B230 Expansion Battery

The ac200 isn't much fun to lug around so I can imagine. I have been using a half dozen of those jag35 scooter batteries to boost the capacity but I'd rather have a bluetti item. I could use the scooter batteries to boost my ecoflow delta instead.

A system of ac200 plus several used santan panels could very likely beat grid power on total cost if Ac200 advertised cycle time are realizable. I'm looking forward Will's test result.(y)

So how does the b230 battery hook into the original ac200? Is it plugged into the solar input?

I'll be posting my bluetti ac200max video on August 20th

B230 connects with the expansion cables. They are easy to use.

I'll have a lot to say about this model. I've tested it for a long time now.
I see that the b230 comes with a cable that stores into the lid....but where does it connect into the ac200 Original?

I have watched Will's review of the AC200 Max and while I understand his concern about charging the expansion battery, (who wants to have a bunch of unsightly adapters and cables cluttering up the place) what he sees as a downside, I personally see it as an advantage. I an really pleased with the fact that I can add the expansion battery to the my current AC200 and charge it with a separate set of solar panels. I'm still a bit fuzzy on how the expansion battery interfaces with the AC200 though.

According to HOBOTECH review, the exapansion battery packs can be charged by the main unit, so I wonder if HOBOTECH has the newer version of the unit, see video @ 19:00 mark.

Mine charges the expansion units just fine. Until they reach 0%. I also checked the firmware and we have the same version.

Bluetti told me they are working on a solution still.

I did see Hobotech's review and I am aware that the main unit can charge the expansion batteries. What I'm unclear about is exactly how the expansion batteries connect's to the older units. Hobotech did indicate that an adapter is needed.

Are they not selling the b230 as a stand alone? Seems it's only part of a combo

The Official Facebook group has all the details:
Due to the limited early stock and high demand for the AC200MAX + B230 combo, we've made the decision that the B230 battery module will NOT be available to be purchased separately until early September (only for the AC200MAX combo in the debut sale). The $1199 special offers for B230 will be still available in Sept, and the detailed review videos by Hobotech and Will Prowse will be published before our pre-order launch.

I ordered an AC200 Max on the presale date 8/20 within minutes of presale opening. Emailed a shipping inquiry yesterday, received a response back early this am:
Due to the limitation of early production speed and the uncertainty of sea transportation, we have decided to update the delivery time of AC200MAX to 6~8 weeks from the order. Thank you for your patience and support.”

Originally the site said ships mid sept but now it’s looking like sometime in October. And “decided to update the delivery time”? It should read Forced to extend delivery time…
And, I swear when I was ordering I saw something on the page that said delivery in approx 8 days. That made me think they were already in country (USA). I was excited about that. Now this is reminding me of the initial indiegogo campaign I watched. Communication and shipping issues for mos. It was during the height of the pandemic though. Time will tell. I absolutely hate paying a substantial amount of money something and then having to wait for 6-8 weeks… or more. When I ordered I did receive a confirmation text, but no email. Sent an inquiry re that and received a confirmation email a few days later.
We will see how this goes.…
