WI state parks don't allow generators regardless of whether they're the quiet inverter type.

They do allow you to sit there and idle your vehicle all day long and play music all day long for everyone to hear. I'll never understand it.

Of course that means I can use my vehicle as a generator which is dramatically less efficient.

DC to DC charger saves the day once again because from here on out this weekend will be cloudy and raining.

As I'm typically against idling or using a generator (unless it's really necessary) hopefully soon I'll have my lithium cells in and they're usable. I'll be able to run my normal usage for around 5 days with zero sun (about 40ah/day), which is far more than I need for any 3 day weekend outing.

Too bad there aren't any good places in Wisconsin for dispersed camping. You have to go out west for that.

County parks do allow generator usage as do Lions club campgrounds.

Oh I have no intention of going out of my way to use a generator. I have one, but I'm content with it sitting in the garage unused. It's also why I'm waiting on a whole bunch of lithium capacity - so I just don't need to worry about generating it in the first place.

Just find it amusing that generators aren't allowed due to noise issues but noise itself isn't really the problem (music), and neither is the wasteful pollution of idling a vehicle.

This is becoming the norm all over; but they will also nail you for idling,
