Our NEW GO-TO LiFePO4 vendor...09.20.21

You're a NICE girl but young ... :)

Here's how it work with California: If you have so much as postage stamp sized footprint in California, you are subject to California laws and California taxes. Companies have divested of Californian operations for this reason.

Neither am I, but I've been around the block a couple times.

:)
Instead of Cali, they should try Las Vegas, NV. Only 4 hours from LA and cheaper on the taxes and other overhead.

FWIW, the cells that I received from them last week from the Houston location all had welded studs.
Thanks, Robert! Which cells did you order. I've inquired with Jenny about EVE 230's and it seems like they will come with loose studs.

CATL 302's. I don't know if they always come with welded studs, but mine did. M6 thread.

Agreed Vegas shipping port is soo under utilized!

Once all these companies get over Jersey New York, LA, TX they’ll wake up to the gold mine that is Vegas is for ease of use. ?

About to order a few 304ah cells from Jenny, anyone knows what's the difference between the 302ah and the 304ah cells? I don't really care about the 2ah difference, are they similar quality wise? Thanks!

I want to say a big thanks to Jenny Wu for helping me with my battery purchase. I ordered 16 280 AH cells and I received them 28 SEP and received them today 30 SEP. They did send them from Houston and I do live in San Antonio. To me it was a good price with shipping and I did not have to try and take time off work. I they were boxed as 2 cells per box, packed very well. The cells all tested 3.289 per cell. I am waiting for my charger to top balance them and the BMS to put the pack together. I am making a 48 volt pack. Thank for all your hard work.

Ok ... I ordered "EVE" 230Ah cells on Saturday from the TX warehouse, Arrived today. Here is what I got. (so I do not hijack this thread)

How do I know they are actually "EVE" cells? There is nothing that indicates manufacture.

Are the cells from the Houston warehouse available with matched IR? Looking for 64 of the 280AH+ cells.

so this may have been answered already BUT virtually all of the 64 cells we got was very close in IR .... getting matched IR is sort of like saying getting "matched wiper blades" but I understand your concern ... as for us .. after a week of blasting the 64 280Ahs we have had no problems ... we put them on a pump and literally blasted 0.75C discharge and 1C charge for about 5 days straight - sure our BMS is giving us the big middle finger salute but the batteries are doing fine ...

SOOOO the trick for DONCAN - to get a huge market here in the States is 3 things:

1. Set up the capability to mail out fo the CA warehouse directly to ppl via FEDEX or UPS.
2. Don't get greedy - keep prices where they are for as long as you can. PPL will pay "slightly" more so as NOT to have to wait 3 months for batteries that are dropped, damaged, torn up ...
3. Maintain a good supply so ppl don't have to wait. Personally I would focus on 200's and 280's .... I have my engineering reasons for not going much over 280's but that's a different topic ...

OH - and 4. You guys need to carry BusBars and 6mm studs for 200's and 280's that people can purchase separately .... Honestly the guys in Houston could probably get one of the local shops on the Southside to make a few 1000 of each for pennies ...

If DONCAN can do this right they can absolutely make a very good profit ...

Don't get greedy - seriously.... do this right and you will have lots of good customers ... you know that 200 other companies are reading this and saying "Hey we can do this" and the issue is most of them can - but it will take time for them to start up and build a reputation .. YOU have that already ....

And on behalf of my ancestral countryman - Happy 72nd Birthday China ...
