Chargery BMS - seeking feedback and opinions

Does anyone have any feedback on the Chargery BMS? I noticed that they have a new-ish product called the BMS16 v2.0 which appears to have integrated the LCD into the BMS itself. I'm interested in this BMS because of the seperate ports and the ability to wire the charge and discharge signal wires to my Victron MultiPlus II AUX inputs to control charging/discharging without the use of a relay/contactor.

I have read and seen YouTube videos of various issues with this BMS in the past, specifically relating to its inaccuracy with voltage and current (and by virtue SOC) measurements. Have these issues been fixed in newer firmware revisions and/or this new hardware? Does anyone have any recent experience with this BMS? Are you able to completely disable the BMS's balancing function? I saw in a youtube video that even with balancing disabled, the BMS was heating up likely due to balancing and resistor loads within the BMS.

I have the BMS8T .... and have no experience with the models with the display build into the BMS. I also have no experience with the 16.
I have installed the software update on my BMS8T and it is working very well ... I am powering it from the external power port which along with the software updates has resolved the voltage inaccuracies I was seeing.
I haven't had any problem with mine getting too hot.

It does seem like people had more problems with the 16's.

There is supposed to be a new BMS from them as soon as they can nail down chip supplies .... I don't know much about it except that it is supposed to be implementing more communications options is active balancing instead of passive.
I would wait for it if you have time.

Thanks Bob. Yes, I read about the issues with powering the BMS via the sense wires and the fix of powering the BMS externally. I'll take your advice and keep an eye out for the new version.

any updates on this to see how its working for the OP?
