I'm also about to build my first couple batteries and will likely order JBD BMSs.
I like the idea of a screen that display pack voltage, cell voltage, and current. The SOC may be off but even if it's close that's nice. Not having to connect to bluetooth every time I want to check up on things is a plus for me.
Fidelia at JBD claims the BMS can be ordered with both UART and RS485 ports to allow simultaneous use of the bluetooth and touch screen. Has anyone done that? See any problems?
Does RS485 and UART use same protocol ( commands ) ?
