Anyone try ordering cells from either of these AliExpress sellers:

"5825 orders Store"
"Battery factory direct sales store"

I found "5825 orders Store" first selling "100% New Lifepo4 320Ah 4-16PCS 3.2V Grade A 48V 310AH Battery Pack DIY RV Cell And Solar Energy Storage System EU US Tax Free" for $60 per cell, or $960 for 16 (16.4 kWh) w/ free shipping, going on sale on 11/11/21 for $672 ($42 per cell).

Then I found Battery factory direct sales selling them for $601.25 for 16 cells, or $37.58 per cell, plus $80 shipping, on sale on 11/11/21 for $396.82, or $24.80 per cell.

I found other stores selling 320Ah batteries for $168 each. You know how they say, "If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably too good to be true"… Battery factory direct has 77.8% positive with multiple complaints of scams, but 5825 orders Store does have 100% positive reviews. Really tempted to order from 5825, especially at their 11/11 sale pricing.

Anyone had any experience with 5825?

Scam.

Every store with "xxxx orders" and most of the others on aliexpress are going to either outright take your money and run or send you used junk.

Thus far I've yet to find a good aliexpress seller.

If they fake delivery confirmatons you think they aren't faking reviews? Reviews on there mean nothing. Only go by what you read here from many customers, it's not hard to find reliable suppliers of quality proucts, just don't expect it to be "too cheap to be true", it won't be.

A 320ah model cell does not exist. Neither does a 310ah model.

They are 302ah CATL cell or 304ah EVE cell, which typically have margin on their capacity. Brand new grade A+ CATL302's are typically around 310-312ah.

China knows that EVERYONE in our market right now is looking for the biggest cell possible, so they "cater" their advertising (lie) about what they are selling so they show as the biggest cell.

There have been many threads on this forum about a "420" ah cell, but when a buyer received them, they were actually a 240ah cell.

Cell prices are on the rise. Do not expect grade A+ quality 302ah cell for a bare minimum of $130/cell (before shipping). Anything lower in price will be either B-grade, thousand cycle cells (where they have been used for grid-level storage and are degraded 5-6%), or an outright scam.

The GFB (Ganfeng) factory has raised their prices 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and is giving an estimated lead time of January 2022 for new cell production. The raw materials for these cells are becoming increasingly scarce.

Thank you for the lowdown!

I was able to get decent new grade A 280 Ah cells about a year ago for a little over $100 each, tested out to 285 Ah tho I wasn’t able to test at 0.2C, my tester maxed out at 200W, so it was more like 0.05C. Was hoping for a similar good deal.

"5825 orders Store" - AliExpress Seller Since: 16 Sep 2021
"Battery factory direct sales Store" - AliExpress Seller Since: 16 Mar 2021

2021 NOV 09 It says 275 orders, but no reviews.

This say EU/UW Warehous on the picture, but not an option when ordering.

Aliexpress have "Buyer Protection and money back guarantee" - How would that work if it a scam, you don´t get money back?

It works by them siding with the seller by default even with evidence and hoping the customer is too lazy to chase the refund further.

yes, only 302ah CATL cell or 304ah EVE cell, professional!

There are at least two, and I'm sure more, vendors widely discussd on this site as being reliable and shipping what and when they promise. They charge fair prices for what you get but you get what you pay for. There are hundreds of scam sites, selling misrepresented batteries for lower prices, and you often end up with junk or nothing. Yet day after day the board is filled with "Look at the great deal I found" posts and tales of woe from folks who got their batteries which turn out not to be what they paid for.

It ain't rocket surgery, read the reports here and decide if you want a simple transaction knowing what you're going to get, or try to get that super deal where a vendor would be selling below his cost if he was actually selling what he claimed.

And yes, realize that to a large extent Aliexpress is just a mechanism to separate suckers from their money. The reviews are fake, delivery info is commonly faked and the company makes it incredibly difficult or impossible to get any refunds. Their answer, just ship your batteries back to China and you'll get a refund...
