Rosen Solar from Alibaba, anyone have experience?

Oh and about the cost - by the time you pay for customs, shipping, and stateside logistics it will definitely be quite a bit more than $2000.
That's the truth.... if you're making a big order, you could save some money getting it directly from the manufacturer, but it is alot to learn and can be stressful at times. If I had to do things again, I'd probably just pay a bit more and order from the states... at least for the batteries.

Latest update. I picked up the batteries and Inverter last week. I have not unpacked everything yet, but seems like it arrived ok. It took right at about 4 months from the time I paid for the order until it arrived in oklahoma. About one month for them to get the order ready. Another one month for it to get on a boat, and 2 months of travel time (though a big portion of that is the shipping delays in LA which added almost an extra month). It also stayed in the warehouse in OK for almost 2 weeks since I had a few issues with my customs broker (had to switch brokers because my first one sucked!)

Here's the breakdown in USD...

6 x 48v, 200Ah power walls = $2,150 each
1 x battery combiner box = $320
2x Deye 8k Inverters = $2,050 each

Total = $17,320

Shipping paid to seller = $610
Import bond = $500 (would be only $75 if for a a single shipment, but I set it up for multiple imports at a later time)
Port and import fees = $632.16
Customs and Duty (turned out to be just under 30% after all broker fees etc)= $5,130.25

Total cost = $24,252.41

So after everything I paid 40% additional for shipping, customs and fees. So here's the final cost breakdown including all shipping, taxes, etc.

Deye 8k inverter = $2900 each
48v, 200aH power wall = $3000 each
Batter combiner = $450

I hope to get these hooked up in the next 2-3 weeks if the weather cooperates.

Great news hope all goes well and waiting for pics or videos!

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, it will be good to see how it all goes! That is very impressive, I am surprised to see Rossen has the name on the equipment, I thought they were a seller. You have a remarkable facility there, nice!

Its my understanding that rosen manufactures their batteries and thanks for the compliment i will be trying to make you tube videos of this journey. Please stay tuned

I think they also manufacture their own solar panels as well.... but doesn't seem cost effective to import them to the US.

Wow. Still ao much better than Sol-Ark. They may finally have to drop their price.

Meh.... I think Sol-Ark price is reasonable considering that they 1) are increasing the warranty, 2) have to hire technicians, 3) have to warehouse the items, 4) need to make a profit. I don't think a 100% markup is unreasonable. Not everyone is willing to take the time/effort/risk to order directly from overseas.

Of course, this is a moot point since Deye does not sell split-phase inverters to the US anymore. I did have this confirmed by a china supplier, who is recommending GroWatt as an alternate.

I bought 2 inverters. I am wanting to buy 2 more along with a bunch of the Rosen powerwalls. My contact from there told me the price for the inverters are now $3100 vs $2050. I also can’t find anyone around my area (Chicago) to hook any of it up.

Are those 8k inverters? Do you think it'll be able to handle welding? that seems like a lot to ask, (though I have no experience to tell me otherwise). Looking forward to hearing your progress reports.
Im confident that when its working it will easily handle my loads. Ill make you tube videos of my journey. Please stay tuned

I can attest to this as well. No more split phase into north america

Yep but you can still get the single phase and autotransformers much cheaper than solar. I am interested in learning when a solar 15 K (if it is actually 15 K) will be available and the pricing. Engineer 775 recently mentioned being a beta tester for this soon. That would accomplish several things . Realistically a $9,000 ish price tag and avoid the multi inverter setups saving quite a bit in wiring and setup etc and for really large systems using 2 instead of 3 inverters. I would go for a single 15K rather than 2 8K if it were in the ballpark on price etc.

I guess since I have plenty of room in my "solar area" I kind of like the idea of having 2 of the 8k inverters. It gives me some redundancy in case one of the inverters breaks down

Yep but I would like the 15K and use my current inverter as backup. It would only take about 45 minutes to swap out.

So if any of you have a line on these deye 120/240 US inverters from Rosen or China please let us know I may want to buy more just to have around
I am looking to sell mine...im looking to go another route.

Its likely its a 12kw inverter with 15kw mppt as i have seen a spec sheet on one deye distributor was selling before the lockout.
