Documenting Purchase from Amy Wan of Shenzhen Luyuan Technology Co. LTD. Alibaba

Maybe we should make an IT/nerd talking topic... and don't mess around in this topic since thats about Luyuan.... Lets stick to the subject
As an IT nerd with 40+ years experience, I endorse Luyuan.
So there.

Very shortly (once capacity testing is done) I will be posting a review of the Eve 304 AH cells sourced from Amy. They take a while to capacity test, but I will say the results are in line with "you get what you pay for".

I ordered 8 x 304Ah EVE A grade cells from Amy early last week, they got shipped yesterday to Aus, along with the cell data from EVE

The lowest cell is 321ah and the iR are all 16, so happy with that and they looked well packed.

Now i just got to wait for them to arrive.... i hate waiting, but hopefully all goes well with shipping and the cells are all good.

I found Amy easy to deal with and the shipping quote was quick, hopefully i have a great experience once the cells are in my hands.

The reviews on here over the last 6 months, lead me to Amy Wan as the odds are higher on getting what i ordered.

Can't wait to build my new pack.

So great to see so many IT guys here! I am a "closet" IT guy, hope you can all accept me haha, i've done things such as creating firmware on a particle argon platform for a remote water sensor, hooked up to the cloud pushing results to the blynk app on my phone, when the water level gets low enough it automatically alerts my vendor to come fill the tank (or empty it if its septic), this was FUN!! for my cabin, was sick of looking under the cabin to check the water level.. but now people want to buy it from me...... Also have experience with python and created user interface with touch screen to turn on and off 240V Solid State Relays, 12v relays, lights, etc. Created autonomous customer and business management platform at my current business that uses a series of webhooks, and qr codes, webdesign, databases, and integrations etc. to make the business run like an oiled machine with as little human interaction as possible all over the web, this system automatically lets customers know what is going on with their vehicle, tells each department what to do next, and alerts admin staff when and what to do as well, tells me how much work we have in the shop on the dashboard, kanban boards auto update, it will even auto dispatch sublets to come in and do work, everything autonomous.. all with qr codes, its pretty awesome!!

I would love to just head full time into the IT world, or rather the IOT world, but my family business was handed down to me from my father, and I deeply respect all the work he put into it, and it makes a good living for me and my family. It lets me play with the IT world enough. I didn't like what software people were offering out there, so the motto i have is, build it yourself so you know how to fix it later!, that is why i am here at DIYSOLAR doing a solar house!

awesome!! good luck on your solar house build. i think we all know who is going to have remote notifications about battery going empty ;)

please feel free to share progress on this forum :) there are so many engineering sub tasks with these DIY energy storage systems, and trade offs, seeing how other people navigate it, is massively motivating and interesting

Unfortunately, my BMS is part of the faulty batch and I will have to wait till they send me a replacement.
I've just taken delivery of a Seplos BMS. Is it possible it can also be faulty? How can I tell?
I don't have my batteries from Amy yet, but they are on their way.

you can check the date code, that being said, it could very well just be fine.

You should have a conversation with Mich

Still waiting for mine. When did you order?

Check it against what? Is there information somewhere on the web?

Ordered on 26th Oct. Fedex received shipping info on 29th Oct, the BMS made it to Fedex's HK depot on 11/11, was delivered in the UK on 16th.

Interesting. I ordered Sept 15th, and still waiting. I guess they are sitting offshore in LA with those 100 cargo ships.

Who is this Mich character you speak of? and also i'd love to do some more coding, I might look into some freelance projects after the house is done, or build my own BMS that can be monitored remotely and shut off things in the event of failure or problems.

Thanks guys! this is a great experience so far on this forum

Too funny. That note posted as I was typing. Phone weirdness. Michael B Caro runs the group buy thread, and he has had many issues keeping up with his manual process. Zero automation and manual communication. I meant to say he may benefit from your skills.

Should I ask if he got that major problem straightened out? I haven't been paying attention, I hope he did.

Not sure. I bailed a bit after he sent my refund. Bad situation for all involved, and I do feel a bit sorry for Michael, but he was in way over his head, made a bunch of poor decisions, and did not communicate well at all, nor vet his suppliers properly.
Thats why automation would be perfect for him.

Ironically, had he setup an arrangement with Amy @ Luyuan and he could have arranged bulk buys & deliveries... Volume = lower sale price. Even if a bit higher for the Matched Cells the bulk cell options are there too.

It is ironic, considering some have bought volume and got great pricing, but the effort to reach out & negotiate it has to be made.
For any form of Group Buy, I would NEVER goto the Lowest Priced Vendor, I'd go only with Known Good Reputable vendors.

I think the major problem these people caused Michael Caro is their lack of patience for the shipping (my personal opinion). I do not know Michael Caro and have done no business with him.

I just received 16 of my 32 cell order from a different vendor(32 LF280K cells with double busbars and welded on terminals >>> new grade A cells). It took 79 days for the 1st 16 cells to arrive to me in South Dakota USA from China(November 26th, 2021), the other 16 cells are still in shipping limbo with FedEx at the moment out in Califorinia.
If one does not have the patience to wait 80 plus days for a shipment from China via boat ride then you need to pay more to get an expedited shipment from a China-owned warehouse that is located in the USA.
But if you wish to save some and can wait out the long shipment time, and know of a good reputable vendor then place the order yourself and quit blaming the middleman for a shipment delay he has no control over.

I have used "Ryan Zeng" through Alibaba twice now for 32 cell orders. I am patiently waiting for FedEx to deliver the 2nd half of the current order. I pay with a credit card.
I have ordered many times through Alibaba... a lot of things come in 45 days and some things take 79 plus days (like this order of cells).
Have a great Sunday and don't blame the middle man, you should just order yourself as you have no control over shipping logistics!

I am not a salesman >>> just a DIYer setting up an 80-panel multi-battery LifePO4 system off-grid. Sorry if you disagree but there are 3 ways as my brother always said >>> the right way... the wrong way and Uncle Joes way... (uncle Joe was the boss)
or another way of saying the same/similar thing is: we agree...we disagree... or we agree to disagree.

My Sunday soapbox folks... have a great one... it looks like the sun is going to shine... all the livestock have been tended to this fine morning... so time to do some more work on the off-grid system!!!!
The LiFEPO4 battery bank grows on! 96 cells soon! ?

Happy for ya. Mike is a great guy, but patience was not the issue. He was screwed by Lishen one one side, and by his supplier on the other with the worst packaging of cells I have ever seen. Not Mikes fault, but it fell on him to make it right. Have a great day.
