Early in the year you guys helped me out in picking PS etc.

In a thread someone mentioned Cisco routers etc using high voltage power supplies. He posted a link to one on ebay, I bought one.

Well this PS is BIG and loud. Not dinging the suggestion, I might use it someday for Induction coil heater (handheld) for working on my vehicles.

I found hauwei makes 1U Power Supplies which output 56v max and have 1.2kw at 110v rating,

I am planning on using my Riden and max watts and volts would work nicely with a PS that outputs 56v and 1kw.

The problem with the Hauwei's is that sellers want TOO flipping much $$$ for one.

What other 56v power supplies are out there that we can use to power Riden 6018ws etc?

Why not just use the S800W-65V power supply like they package with the S800 case and everything? Do you really need 1000w?

I have ONE generic el cheapo PS, after reading here and other RC sites, I am inclining towards server/network PS which output 48v or greater.

2 reasons:
1. value
2. reliability

$20 ish my budget for a 1kw 48v PS.
I have some HP 1kw 12v PS which I picked up for $15, the max I can get out of them is around 13.x v (internal POT)

So, now I am hunting for 48v PSs, Cisco Catalyst (order ones) that my brother from another mother mentioned in the other thread are BIG and LOUD. No problem using them but my space on my work table is limited.

I found some Cisco C3K series PS, I need to find the PIN OUT white paper for these.
