So now I am on plan "C" and feel like I just came home from the dollar store.
Where can I get some of these ??

Pushed the buy button:
8 Newpowa 100 watt panels; VOC 20.23; VMP 17.0; ISC 6.25; IMP 5.89
1 PowMr 3000W Solar Hybrid Inverter 24V DC to 110V-120V AC, Pure Sine Wave, 60amp MPPT Charge Controller; Model: HF2430U60 ( I think )
1 MidNite Solar MNPV6 Combiner
10awg solar wire, 4awg welding wire, Hammer Lug Crimping Tool

Already have:
2 12v LIFEPO4 200ah batteries
1 Clamp ac/dc electric tester doohicky with Peak Inrush setting. That way I will know what blew up the inverter if it goes POOF.
Fancy tool kit for making connections as I route power to the combiner
Lots of land with no shadows
Plywood, 2x4s, 4x4s, 2x6s, nails, screws, lags, nuts & bolts so I can build a ground mount setup that won't blow away
100vdc 15 or 20 amp breakers

Need:
100vdc 15 or 20 amp breakers
More smoke alarms and fire extinguishers
Electric blanket for the dog house, maybe

Boss Lady says I can get the good stuff if I can make this work without needing a fire extinguisher. ?

edit 12/18 It's a PowMr, not a PwrMr.

Is the MNPV6 for future expansion?

4awg might be okay for the battery/inverter cable, but you're going to have a lot of voltage drop at peak. I'd go 2awg.
Yes the box is for future mostly, but I need something to get safely through the wall, 12" of concrete, and into the house.

I hope to only go 3 or 4 feet with the 4 awg. Yea or Nea?
When we upgrade it will be minimum 48 volts to the batts.

Maybe if you have seen me work, you would know I need something that can be reset, over and over.
Those look like a single shot deal.
Can I buy them in bulk?

3000W/24V * 1.25 = 183A breaker

A few fuses might be cheaper than a quality breaker.

A master switch:

Is a good investment as you can keep it off until you triple check everything.

0.3V drop @ 147A

Not bad, but I'd still prefer 2awg welding. If you're only dealing with 3-4 feet, not much more cost.

I like "Master switches", there's a much lower level of suspence.

So a fuse may be cheaper but I do like breakers, their almost "Me proof".

I've lost track of things, but these might be limited to 100A when in series thus limiting your inverter to closer to 2400W, and you'd need a smaller breaker/fuse too.

Boss Lady says she doesn't want to play with fuses, may need to drop a "C" note on a breaker.

Yep, i'm lost too.
Time for me to do some more reading on the Inverter/Charger.

Luckily someone on Amazon asked for the manual and got a link. There's even a video on how to push buttons. WaaHoo!
Never been to the clouddrive share thing before.

So the link to the manual is here and clearly identified:
Model Number: HF2430U60
Product: PowMr 3000W Solar Hybrid Inverter 24V DC to 110V-120V AC, Pure Sine Wave Inverter with 60amp MPPT Charge Controller

The video is here:

I'm not promoting the product, just sharing info.

Hammering battery lugs is not very good
I would jut buy battery wire with the lugs hydraulically crimped .
I seen 2 systems with lugs melting the plastic wire cable cover .
It doesn’t cost very much and it works 100%

I've had my eye on that thing too for a low-priority-learner type system, curious to see how it goes for you.
Happy to post what happens. ;)

Hammering battery lugs is not very good
Thanks for the input, gotta give it a try. Maybe not on the battery lugs though.
I have a bunch of different hammers to use up.

You can get good even pressure with a hammer and it causes problems .
Bad cable crimps is a good way to start a fire ? keep you extinguisher handy

I have one of those laser thermometer thingamabobs which will be useful in checking for hot spots.
It's fun to point it into the fireplace insert and see where the hot spots are, then to the sky to see how cold it is up there.
Thanks for the heads up.
