We are all going to suffer horrible deaths in runaway climate change...as it gets worse it will get worse the meaning of insidious. What are we going to do...we cannot reincarnate back to this planet. Our families will be dispersed throughout the universes never to be seen again. Some to Andromeda, others to Pegasus. Where we end up will not be our solar system with Venus so no love...no beauty. Mars will not initiate us into action. Jupiter, big personalities, big homes depending on what house Jupiter is in. No Saturn to organize our lazy selves. Uranus intelligence gone. Neptune brought us Hollywood dream world. Pluto power & discovery, no more cutting things open for mystery of whats inside. We will have to adopt to the new planets once we get there. If you really believe in the end of our world you would be screaming in the streets, so who believes ? Gretta Thunberg is the only one. So I guess its up to us, we learn here and help others. My firewood guy is off grid running on generators, I put together a 6 amp 1 panel starter system $170 so he can start adding more panels one at a time. Lets build Will's dream Tesla battery with hobby charge controller in transparent purple acrylic case. We can use proceeds for TV ads. DIY SAVES THE PLANET

I have to think a little math, a little education in electronics and some mechanical skills would be sufficient to assemble a very workable solar PV system.

But then again, you would have to take time out from posting stuff on the internet and do some research...

LOOK, as far as I can tell, there's been climate change for as long as the oith has had a climate and there always will be climate change as long as there's an oith and a climate.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, common sense, (the opposite of common core), dictates that on a finite planet with an infinitely increasing human species that is capable of rapid, widespread and massive impact reducing the effectiveness of the natural systems that create the conditions required to sustain the humanoid species, the piper will eventually have to be paid.

Note: I don't mind going to Jupider to get more stupider but Uranus is right out, i'm not going, I'll stay on oith.

No no no its because god is humor .... this is the devine comedy...Alan Watts youtube Non-sence & humor 3 minute talk the movie the Matrix sprang from Alan....the wool has been pulled over your eyes Neo

God thinks this is funny....hey look the arctic is 60 degrees thats great, now we can go in and extract all the oil

And I pray, oh my god do I pray ! I pray every single day for a solar revolution

Hey, what's goin on?

The Arctic ice has melted many times in the past, and will melt many times again. Yet somehow the earth survived.

No one with 2 extra IQ points to rub together believes the earth needs saving.
The Earth is a big chunk of molten metal and rock slag crust, it will be here until the sun expands to consume it, (that assumes something rogue doesn't slam into the earth that changes it's orbit or knocks it out of the current orbit...)

When you have 4 extra IQ points to rub together it becomes a question of the biosphere that supports most life as we know it...
It took the biosphere about 4 billion years to sequester massive amounts of carbon in what we now call fossil fuels, and massive amounts of CO2 in sold form ('Dry' ice).

It's in the best interest of HUMANS to curtail the amount of carbon humans exclusively release into the biosphere since the current climate has supported humans to become the dominant life form on the planet.

I personally don't care much, I'm 60 and not in the best health.
I'll be compost before the really big changes come, but between now and then I'll continue with my water wells 100' below the current water table, growing most of my own food, making most of my own power, and doing my best NOT to make the big issues bigger...

It's not my biosphere, I'm just a visitor here for 60-80 years, and I don't trash/crap on other people's stuff...
It's an ethics thing that many won't understand.

I definitely understand, and likewise agree we must be good stewards of the earth. I have kids too so want to leave this place better than when I found it. However screaming “We are all going to suffer horrible deaths in runaway climate change” only leads to knee-jerk legislation (Green New Deal and Paris Climate Agreement) that punishes the stewards (North America and Europe) and does nothing to curb the worst offenders (China and India).

Conversely the previous pollution regulation was excessive and only pushed manufacturers overseas. It is difficult to make an existing plant 5% cleaner, but is really easy to outsource to a plant that is 80% dirtier. Specifically, battery manufacturing is a dirty business regardless of chemistry. Why do you think all the affordable batteries come from China? I’d rather have batteries produced domestically in a responsibly regulated plant.
