New player intro deal? Anyone care to comment?

I did a deep dive in to them, As far as I can tell they are a scam.
They are suppose to be a German company yet they produce no legal documents on either their web page, facebook page or in their emails.
All German companies are suppose to do this by law.
Their phone number in Germany is a cell phone and their office location is just a huge building with no physical address.
So far I have only found 2 defunct companies that use this name or very similar name.
There is no company registered in Germany at all under this name.
Its a SCAM. No one should attempt to buy anything from them unless you have the money to lose.
There is zero information on the web for them anywhere.
Would also like to point out that their web site is from shopify which is known to host scammers.
These are some of the emails I sent and received, I was also banned from their facebook page from posting comments. I did contact everyone that made a comment on their Facebook page and told them not to buy anything from them. The deal is too good to be true.
If the off chance I am wrong, I will NOT APOLOGISE. The reason is because they should have done something to prevent them from looking like scammers.

Well... Will should contact them and get some to test!

the specs seem odd...
106.67 Wh/KG... a bit heavy..., but lighter than battleborn by a good bit. BB makes 120Ah batteries, and sells them as 100, this company must be doing the opposite...

I already tried that, They do not have any stock, Nor will they have any stock for months, I asked this exact question.
They alleged they can send a review model if I tell them who my following is, Well that really is Will.
Yet I am pretty sure it is a scam site.
Anyone can pretend to be will and give him his address, It is listed on his YouTube channel...

Ha!
I will bet solid gold bars that any batteries they would send for review would be COMPLETELY different from any actual product if they produce any...

the price is below what raw cells are costing... so... yeah, I’m going to agree with you guys it is a scam.

that said...

I wouldn’t mind getting a few of the testing batteries for review!

I would bet that they do not have one battery.
They are very slick scammers compared to the usual $199 ebikes that really cost $2000 type scammers or $2000 generators for $200 on Facebook.
No typos and they have put some serious effort into this scam.
FourVolt.com is a scam.
Google will be indexing this thread very soon.

FourVolt.com pretty much copied the Battle Born FAQ with a few changes coz that's what scammers do.
No phone number, address or usual info that real companies have on their websites.
So many red flags.

What if the batteries get wet?
Our batteries are fully sealed and can handle being in a moist environment, but like any other electronics you should not submerge them completely in water.

What is a BMS? FourVolt FAQ
BMS stands for battery management system, this is the brain of our deep cycle lithium battery. The BMS protects the lithium cells from getting damaged in several scenarios. From low or high voltage, low or high temperatures, or if there is a short in the system. The BMS will shut off the battery to protect the li-ion cells and the user of the battery from unsafe operating conditions..

Do you need a special charger for LiFePO4? FourVolt FAQ
You do not need a special charger to charge your LiFePO4 battery. These batteries prefers to bulk charge at 14.4 volts and float at 13.6 volts. Most standard chargers can handle these settings.
There are some specific lithium chargers available which can charge faster than a regular charger, but in most cases your current charger should handle lithium without issue.

You do not need a special charger to charge your LFP deep cycle battery. As I mentioned above the battery prefers to bulk charge at 14.4 volts and float at 13.6 volts. Most standard chargers can handle these settings.
There are some made for lithium chargers available on our store page and they will charge faster than a regular charger in most cases.

Protection against shocks/vibrations? Four Volt FAQ
Our batteries are constructed with the highest quality components available. They are designed to withstand vibration and shocks while working for thousands of cycles.
We can highly recommend our batteries for RV / Boat-use without any cause for concern what-so-ever.

Our battery is assembled in Reno, NV and constructed with the highest quality components available. It is designed to withstand vibration and keep working for thousands of cycles.
You will need to check your connections from time to time to make sure they maintain good contact from cable to battery.

etc, etc, etc

Wow...

I knew these Fourvolt scammers know nothing about batteries so a detailed answer like this had to be copied from somewhere.
A quick search on https://plagiarismdetector.net found where they copied their answer from.
FOURVOLT answer to a FB question plagiarized from https://blog.valen.com.au/connect-lithium-batteries-in-series

FOURVOLT said: We don’t recommend series connecting Lithium batteries, unless you already have experience with that, let me give you a run-down on why that is:
When a Lithium battery is charging, the BMS is actively controlling the charge to the cells within the battery. The BMS prevents the cells from over-charging, balances the cells and performs other tasks to ensure that the batteries are maintained correctly. Once the cells are fully charged, the BMS will go open circuit to prevent further charge going into the battery.

This stops the battery from becoming over-charged. When Lithium batteries are connected in series and this occurs, the charging circuit is broken and the charger will stop charging the batteries. The battery that first gets to this state will be fully charged while the other batteries in the series string will not be.

The remaining batteries will be unable to continue charging due to the single battery having gone open circuit.
If you are going to series connect Lithium batteries, we recommend putting one BMS over all the Lithium batteries in a series which will control the charge to each battery and ensure all the BMS’s go open circuit at the same time, preventing any single BMS from completely stopping the charging circuit.

So my answer would be: If you have experience with connecting lithium batteries in series, then yes - you can definitely use our batteries for that, but 'right out of the box' I would not recommend it.

So why can’t Lithium batteries be connected in series?
It’s not recommended to install Lithium batteries in series because
when a Lithium battery is charging, the BMS is actively controlling the charge to the cells within the battery.

The BMS prevents the cells from over-charging, balances the cells and performs other tasks to ensure that the batteries are maintained correctly. Once the cells are fully charged, the BMS will go open circuit to prevent further charge going into the battery.

Yeah I have seen so many scams by Shopify websites on Facebook.
Here is a $2000 ebike scam selling for a bargain $99 on shopify just seen as an ad on facebook.

Here is a typical comment from a Shopify customer that sums it up.
Do not buy from this site. They do not vet their sellers. I bought something. I never received it and now the sellers site is down. Shopify did absolutely nothing. If you give these sellers the platform you need to vet them and take responsibility !!!!!!

Here are some that are out for $379...at least for now
https://fourvolt.com/products/lifepo4-battery
And there is no way I would buy them! Web name was registered a month ago

I give it a 10% chance this company is legit. You can't find anything on Google for them.
The person who found out about them saw it in a Facebook ad.

Last month I ordered 2. I got cold feet and buyer’s remorse. I contacted FV and they immediately without question refunded my money, and credited the $$ back to my credit card. Seems like they (or whomever) is going thru all the motions to make it seem as if this company is legit if in fact it is not.

This is the company information I got from fourvolt. Apparently an American company sorting a office and distribution point in Europe.

The planning and design originated in Germany but we're currently in the process of relocating to a more cost-efficient location in Sofia from where we will open up for the EU market as well. Since we're based out of Europe we're currently in a bit of a limbo with our registered office as Corona has shut down pretty much all travels. We were scheduled for registering our main EU office, since we're launching in Europe this summer, but with the travel ban we're currently at a stand-still until the situation improves. Right now we're seeing borders closing in almost every country and even cities shutting down. Being in the UK I am sure you are well aware of the situation we're all facing.

Our company is US registered - FV Lithium LLC (F.N. 7861644), but as mentioned we're going into the EU market this fall and we will have our European offices and business registration there as soon as the travel ban is lifted.

Yeah still can not find their company.
Even my old llc is still found on the national corporation directory.
SEC has nothing on record either.
This is not a legit company, Their web site has changed since I last looked at it, It no longer contains contact information, address, location or any other sort of information.
Their facebook page remains untouched since their first couple of posts back in mid FEB.
Still calling them a scam.

Also would like to note that there is still limited information about them posted anywhere. THEY ARE A SCAM NOT MATTER WHAT THEY SAY.

If they want to be legit then they need to share their names location and update their information to prove that they are in fact a real company.

Did you send them money for their batteries that have not been produced after over a year from their claimed start?
Oooops they forgot to register their www.fourvolt.com website until a year after their "claimed" inception.

How did you find this posting about FourVolt.com?

Ask them if they can prove that FV Lithium LLC (F.N. 7861644) is registered with an online link.
2 guys or maybe only one Nicholas guy with no names or address or online presence. videos. etc or anything hiding behind
a shopify email address.
They say a lot of stuff but they have zero proof of any of it aside from a very recent website and Facebook page.

They know about this thread here which is why they changed their FAQ that was copied from Battle Born
but they refused to come and post here to defend their company.

They / he blamed their "webdesignerguy" for the copied FAQ.
Yeah right. lol
Like a highly technical lithium battery company owner just lets their "web guy" write the FAQ and does not check
what he wrote???
Nope the battery company would write the FAQ for their web designer who knows nothing about LFP
Their original copied FAQ was inadequate and did not cover the most asked questions about LFP batteries so it
is much better now.
Fake story on their fake website that uses stock pics and fake battery pics.
Caveat Emptor.
Scam Scam Scam.
We would all love to get some $379 shipped quality 100 Ah batteries with bluetooth and a 10 year warranty!

The lowest price for a 100 ah battery is pretty much what ever Will comes up with, right now that sits around 600 with one of his BMS. Maybe one can find cells cheaper by 100 dollars.
Truth be told, You can buy batteries that could cost as low as 300 dollars provided that you can buy 10s of thousands of them and that in its self is a huge investment.
If one was to buy around 400 *100 12v 100ah batteries* cells at about 75 dollars per cell you could very well get the price as low as that. Volume discounts do apply for most sellers, and those who do not bargain are not worth the time and effort.
The same would apply to BB batteries, if you were to buy 100 of their batteries It would not surprise me if you could get them at 700 each with shipping.

I was communicating via email with Nicholas from four volt.com
Thank goodness I did a scam search and found this site at the top of the page!
Thank you all for sparing me from a huge headache!!!

I was communicating via email with Nicholas from four volt.com
Were you getting convincing answers to your emails?
Its a lot easier to write out an answer than take a phone call were you have to answer on the spot with no place to hide.
Hardly any scammers will talk to you but I did get a con man from Nigeria to call me at 2am once. Haha
No great surprise that "Nicholas Xxxxx" said that he wont post here.

On Will Prowse's live feed yesterday there were a few people asking about the $379 Fourvolt deal.
