any advice on running extension cord from my inverter to a wall outlet

Your inverter outlets are NEMA5-15R rated for 15A, so you extension cord should be 14Ga, and you need to derate it for what you will be powering. I would add circuit breaker to the output.

Is this an RV? Need a transfer switch or remove the main cord. Or is this just a dedicated outlet? I would put some #14 NMB (Romex) on a plug. No conduit. I think THHN is needed in conduit.

I don't think cord in conduit is going to meet electric code.

a van, yes.

I’d want a GFCI and probs a breaker in that circuit.
Something I’ve done numbers of times over the years is create a plug-in cord to a double or triple box, often waterproof depending on application. Wire direct to a 20A GFCI outlet, parallel additional outlets.

You only have a 15A potential but I use the 20A GFCI anyway, and use 10ga 3-wire outdoor cord. Other than a breaker you are safe and over capacity.

I have a lead with a male plug on each end (a suicide lead). It does the job but not recommended amongst the academic community. I only use it during prolonged outages with the mains switch off and all other heavy things off at the switchboard.

Ideally you should get an electrician to fit a generator input with interlocking breaker.
