custom made battery box for eve LF280K cells

Did you ask Adam what your expectations should be regarding shipping? When I asked Henry what I should expect, he was pretty clear with me, and everything seemed to go as he said it would. If you shipped by sea you may not hear anything until the ship gets in to port in your country, clears customs, and gets loaded onto the local delivery company (UPS or what have you)
That's the thing...I'm not sure these have even been put on a ship yet and are at sea? I have asked multiple times where they are or what the status is and I am told they are with the shipping "agent". I have tried to clarify what that means but I don't get a response. If they're already on a boat that's great. It's been a month since I ordered and if they are not already shipped I cannot continue to wait.

And I'm not upset, it's all fine. I understand things move at a different pace and they are just starting to build these. I just wanna know if it's going to be another 1-2mo then I'll cancel and re-order another time.

So, nothing shipped at all for anyone prior to April 6th, from what I've understood following this thread. If thats the case you might not hear anything until mid-May. Why cancel and re-order later? If you need them, you need them, its still gonna take two months if you order them later, all this will do is put you further behind (IMHO)

edit also, I get it, you have your batteries and you are itching to get started. why not just fashion some temporary boxes for now while you wait?

"need" is a strong word. These would be really nice to compress and store the batteries longterm. But they are not functionally necessary to run my system from. It would change my design for where I'm storing them if I don't use these boxes as they are stackable and that's what I was designing around.

I can totally fashion some temporary boxes, but if they're coming in 2 weeks or 2-months makes a difference for my design. I'm also frustrated paying a supplier $2k and not being communicated with, so I'd rather get my money back and order when there is a more reliable shipping system and communication line even if it's a year down the road. I don't like giving my money to companies who only appreciate customers when they are trying to sell something, and not after.

My concern is if they already shipped, you may not have much luck getting your money back.

I mean your cases are prob at sea right now, I dont even know what you expect at this point. I got as much information from Seplos as I did from Docan, thats just normal when you order from China. Just sit back and wait, and if they dont arrive by the time they said they would, start complaining then.

I know there's zero chance your cases will show up in 2 weeks if they shipped on or around April 6th with the other orders. When they provided shipping options they said that sea shipping would be 50-60 days. You're only 14 days in, you got loads of time left. If you didn't ask about this, or understand this when you ordered, then I guess this might be unsatisfactory to you, but it's not Seplos fault.

If they already shipped to me that would be great news! If they could provide me with any info on that it'd be really helpful. It wouldn't be an issue to open a CC dispute for the transaction as there is no proof of shipping. If it arrives or is shipped then I'm happy to close it.

I just expect basic communication like: "Your cases are at sea". If they are at sea great, they havent even shared that. I know it will take 50-60 days. I'm not sure why you're upset at me or saying "it's my fault". I'm literally asking for the most basic communication on where my order is. I really don't get your response.
All I'm saying is if they are not at sea I'm going to cancel my order. I don't want to continue waiting.

Doucan was excellent at communicating every step of the way. I wish Seplos was close to that level but they are far from it.

The guy said your batteries were with the shipping agent. That means they shipped.

You are making a huge deal out of absolutely nothing.

I honestly can't believe you'd pursue a CC dispute without even waiting the expected 50-60 days they said sea shipping would take, that's just ridiculous.

How do I know what that means? They are with the agent. That doesn't mean they are shipped. I asked "are they shipped and at sea", no response.

I haven't pursued a CC dispute, but if they continue to be non-responsive I will. I'm not going to spend $2k and be ghosted by a business. I'm really not making a big deal. All I did was post saying I would cancel if these aren't shipped or they keep not responding. I don't know why I would pay that kind of money and be chill about being ghosted.

I'm really not interested in going back and forth with you about what you think I should do given the situation. Thanks for your input.

I'll share with you one useful tip about shipping the box. As I ordered my cells from Amy W. and Docan, I just asked her (Amy W.) to handle shipping both the box and the cells. (shipping cost was the same) then seplos send the box to Amy.

And I think I'll do the same for all my next cells/box order, so I'll get everything at the same time.

Down below you can see 2 seplos box, one box from Amy W (the black one), the cells and some other stuff from seplos.

If you ordered via Alibaba, the order status would update as shipped.

This isn't a battery box. This is a fixture that I am working on for installing cells in my sailboat which has a built-in battery box that is sized to hold two of these. my primary concern is to keep the individual cells from moving and putting stress on the cell terminals.

For a mobile use case in a DIY box, flexible bus bars may be a better option, just in case.
