Solar Charging Issues - Ecoflow Delta Pro

Hi -

I'm trying to connect my 200 Watt Renogy solar panel (foldable) to the Delta Pro but consistently get no input. My Multimeter shows 16V when checking the XT60 connector but Delta Pro displays no input when connected. I've used this solar panel to charge my Flashfish w/ no issues, retested it again today, so the panel seems fine. I've even tried a portable 60W solar panel that I use for various chargeable and I get a 21V XT60 reading at the height of the day but no input read by the Delta.

The DP is a week old, the AC input/output functions and this was the next phase of my testing.

Potential unit issue or maybe something I'm missing from the documentation?
 
SOGEN PV input generally has a minimum voltage and/or wattage requirement. If your panel falls below the specified cutoff, it will not charge. This may or may not be your issue; check the specs to know for sure.

Do the solar panels you are using have an xt60 connector or an xt60i? The xt60i has an extra data port for communication but the standard plug will fit in the xt60i port.

I believe the Delta pro requires it for the solar inputs. Is there a third smaller little metal contact/pin between the main two posts on the Delta pro unit?
 
I just tested the car charging which uses the same XT60 connector and that was fine so doesn't appear to be a port issue. I can't get a straight answer from Ecoflow regarding minimum voltage but they asked if I could add another 160W which I will do to see if that resolves the issue.

It has a default MC4-XT60 connector that comes w/ the unit for solar charging.

I don't understand why the included cable wouldn't be an xt60i, maybe a screwup at ecoflow? If this turns out not to be the issue I apologize for wasting your time, I think it's worth reading through that thread though.

As for the input voltage, this is from the main product page:

"DELTA Pro has a wide voltage range from 11-150V"


So you should be well over the minimum voltage.
 
It appears I was making incorrect inferences from my previous tests charging my FlashFish w/ my 60W RockPals solar charger. When I charge w/ it, even in low sunlight, the FlashFish will blink (doesn't show incoming wattage) which I assumed was doing something in even low light conditions; maybe it was/is. When I wasn't seeing something, anything, on my EcoFlow w/ the 200W solar panel in indirect sunlight, I assumed it wasn't working. With my other tests, it was a cloudy day and I was testing indirect sunlight and assumed that it was failing when, in fact, I was using poor test conditions and making assumptions. On a perfectly clear day, I'm getting nearly 100W charging. I do believe it needs a minimum in order to register and once I tested in the right conditions, things worked as expected. I'll chalk this one up to inexperience. Sorry for wasting everyone's bandwidth.
 
ya, most MPPTs need about 5 volts above charge line to track.. buy another panel and put them in series and enjoy the extra power!
