custom made battery box for eve LF280K cells

The new seplos bms version 16 (with bluetooth and autoconfigure) can be included with the diy mason 280 kit.
I saw that they were about to release it and asked if the 4 kits I ordered could include the new version.
It was an additional 40$ for me.
Although i'm not sure whether it has additional cost if you order hasn't been handed over to the local shipping company (they had to request for the parcel to be shipped back, because they had just handed it over)

Can they work in parallel with the previous BMS version?

Nice Thread...
I bought some Mason 280 DIY kits (thanks @sergea for initiative and carrying development costs) and EVE 280Ah cells.

Not drawing more than 100A per battery box so decided to build in a 125A breaker for extra protection and easier maintenance. Used 50mm2 cable (FYI @XBeg9).
Which protocol do those BMS use for inverters communication?

Can they work in parallel with the previous BMS version?
Took me a while to come back to you but I asked it to seplos sales and this was their response:
"
V15 and V16 are compatible

The difference between the V15 and V16 is that the V16 can communicate with CAN and 485, the V15 cannot. The V15 also has no way to connect to Bluetooth
"
Disclaimer: I'm not testing this and it is not applicable to my situation.

I've built my own battery rack, which has four shelves for two rows of 8 cells on each, same layout as in the Seplos.

I'd like to duplicate the compression used in the Seplos, does anyone know the length of the cells from the front plate to the back plate once compressed please?

I understand the foam is 3mm thick, not sure what EVA foam is but I have some 3mm Plastazote® LD33 superior closed cell foam on order.

I was going to use spring compression, but realised this will protrude from the front of the rack.

TRY HERE..

for the foam..

Trying to lasercut the frontpanel for my own project. Does anyone have the cad drawing or exact dimensions of the mason 280 frontpanel. Building a rack with four shelves myself.

Ordered four of these to Eastern Ontario, Canada. $2627USD DDP (includes parallel and power cables as well)
Can you tell me about your experience with DDP shipping from China? I have 17 EVE 280 cells on order from Gobel Power, shipped DDP to Saskatchewan likely to arrive in late January. Did you need to us a border broker or did the product just show up at your door? When I read Incoterms for DDP, it sounds like the seller is responsible for everything, right up to delivery at my door.

It just showed up at my door. I didn't have to do anything.

Does any body know what the yellow insulating sheet material with 3M adhesive on back is as used in the semplos battery boxes, Trade name or source of supply, Thanks

@Ultrabulkheads

Its Epoxy Glass Fibre Sheet GRP G10 also known as FR4

I'm in the UK and I got mine from eBay although it doesn't have adhesive (I didn't want adhesive) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133036899692

You need to message the seller with dimensions and quantity, use Google translate as he replies in Spanish, I ordered 18 sheets at 206 x 175 x 1mm and with carriage it came to £36, it was delivered within a about a week.

You can also order them from Docan China, but shipping is expensive.

Thanks for that

I need help, I have a Mason box too. I was completing the first discharge after bringing the battery up to 100%SOC. At one point the BMS just shut down (I assume that the undervoltage protection kicked in) now I can not get the BMS to turn on.

To bring the SOC back to 100% I had to charge the battery using my hobby chargers because the Inverter would not push a load through to the BMS to the batteries.

Also there is no voltage at the terminals, but there is a full charge at the maain battery terminals, so in the picture I have full voltage on the right side (the battery side of the Mosfets but zero voltage on the left.) Any help would be great!IMG_20230121_043312[1].jpg.
