inverter running on hi voltage

my inverter is 24V. and today i heard warning sound, and i checked. Hi, 28.1V. what is the max input voltage without the warning?

3000W pure sin wave . i check the manual it said: do not use it when the battery charging. why?

The manual for it would tell you. 28.1 seems a bit low for 24v. My 2kW Giandel (PS-2000QAR) tops out at 30v. I've had it at 29.2v without it complaining.

They only advise you to not use the inverter when charging due to the possibility of over voltage. If you have lead acid and did equalisation charging you'd be quite a bit beyond 30v.
 
I wouldn't have thought that voltage would trigger a high voltage warning or cutoff. 28.1 = 3.51 per cell if we are talking about lifepo4 which isn't abnormally high for lifepo4. I'm a dummy when it comes to lead acid so I don't know whether that's outside of the normal range for lead or not.

I set bulk charge at 28.8v lithium batteries
 
Have you checked the voltage limits in your inverter's manual?
 
Strange. Are you sure the noise you heard was a high voltage alarm?
 
If it's anything like mine it has only one style of beep. Fault. Continuous beep, unit off. It doesn't beep on approaching high voltage, nor high temp nor overload. It's straight into the wall, then beep.
 
The display has a high voltage indicator? Check your battery voltage with a multimeter next time the beep happens. It's possible the inverter is not sensing voltage correctly, its possible your SCC is not doing a good job at voltage regulation during absorption charging etc too.

I have a victron 150/70 scc. 600$
 
Did this ever get resolved? I have Giandel 24V 3kW inverter and EPEver 40A SCC... same issues. I'm certain it's an issue with the SCC settings. But I go through the menus and everything looks correct. What was your solution?

Edit: Forgot to mention batteries are LFP4

I fiddled with it, then emailed Giandel. They said not to use the inverter continuously. Kinda pointless since I only bought it to run a dorm fridge in my van. I think I'll just invest in a 12-24v fridge and only use the inverter for single use appliances/as needed. Working on my 2nd rebuild now. Will do more tests and update here if I figure anything out.

Be careful when you are making up words. LiPo is a real battery chemistry (Li lithium Po polymer, the explody kind of lithium) and a higher voltage than LiFePO4 (Li lithium, Fe iron, PO4 phosphate) ... LFP for short. Some devices have options for LiPo, LFP and L-ion and all were different voltages.
