Hi everyone.
I'm somewhat new to all this and hoping someone here might know what's going on.
I believe I may have overdischarged a renogy 200Ah lithium battery by hooking it up incorrectly and having a short.
When I got it all disconnected, I checked it and it wasn't showing any warnings...
I had an odd situation with a panel I found for cheap on marketplace.
When cool it will generate almost the rated power under good conditions.
If I put it in the sun for a little bit and used my multimeter to measure amperage I could reliably walk away and come back to find the amperage had...
Thanks Mike.
I asked renogy and they told me to charge to 100%, discharge to 20%, charge to 100%, then Voila she'll be fixed.
Is both accepts and delivers current.
The actual battery voltage level is accurate, just the % remaining charge was way off.
Currently it's trading 81% remaining...
So... I'm in the middle of repairing a panel with a hairline crack across the middle of it.
It's occurring to me that I have no idea what I shouldn't add more bypass diodes while the backing is stripped off.
My thought is that the panel is currently unusable as the crack runs right across the...
@chrisski & @crossy Sorry, didn't get a notification about replies.
This is a panel that's completely disconnected and using a meter across the cables.
It starts fine, middle of the day, direct sun with zero shading. Initially has a decent output (around 4 amps) and slowly drops to 0...
Hi everyone.
So, I have a 300 watt panel.
My panel initially shows a decent output when put in the sun, then the output gradually decreases to almost zero amps.
I'm curious if it could be from a hotspot or short somewhere.
What do you ask think? Any ideas?
Thanks!
