This is not a grid tied system - so no export.
By SUB I mean "Solar energy provides power to the loads as first priority. If solar energy is not sufficient to power all connected loads, solar and utility will power loads at the same time. Battery provides power to the loads only when solar...
I have just had two inverters installed in parallel. On a sunny day the solar panels are more than enough to fully power the load. I have set the batteries to accept no charge for testing
However, the inverters are still pulling about 7A each from the grid. This current seems to go nowhere...
Now installed these and I can confirm that the inverters in parallel do work as they should... solar first and then utility if needed... with a strange exception which I describe here https://diysolarforum.com/threads/why-would-two-growatt-spf-6000-es-in-parallel-be-wasting-15-amps.78691/
There...
The short question is:
1. The SPF 6000 ES Plus manual says "Solar and utility grid can power loads at the same time"
2. However does this still apply when two are connected in parallel?
The reason I ask is that I currently have two 'Must' inverters where the manual says both solar and grid can...
Thanks for the reply. I think you might have missed my main query... or I misunderstood your answer. Yes, pg 27 confirms the parallel connection. Connecting up to 6 units is pretty cool. I might need to do 3 phase one day. Your comments about battery cable length is good - I have not been...
Hi Olasitu. I have the same problem in SNU charge mode. When the PV is available it charges the batteries very slowly (<1A) - it seems to be using the little PV available after powering the load. The utility is also available but no power comes from it for charging. If I disconnect the PV, the...
>>>1. Gel battery. Not good for deep cycling.
I would love to get some LiPo batteries but a little expensive at the moment for us. Maybe next year.
>>>3. No, you should not set Setting 2 to 0Amp, otherwise, your solar panel or grid power will not be able to charge your battery or keep it at...
Thanks for those suggestions... hadn't thought about most of those! Some extra info...
1. We have 8 x 200AH GEL batteries in 2 parallel arrays.
2. We use SUB mode and want to keep using it. I am in Myanmar where we have power cuts every 4 hours so we only ever want to use the battery when we...
