Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

In case anyone got the 105Ah cells, or is thinking of getting them, I finally found the perfect case on amazon. Fits 4 of those cells on their side with ample space for the BMS and some padding. It holds the battery tight which makes it sturdy and portable at ~10kg...

@Capt Bill that BMS looks a lot like the one Will recommends. Is it compatible with the "enterprise" app Will recommends?

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

Where do you live? I think it's only shipping to Belgium/EU that's a problem at the moment. If I order from amazon.com, it's $160 total with shipping and import fees to EU (vs $60 from aliexpress) :-/ and they mention there could be significant delays. It's only a 105AH battery pack, so that's...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

The BMS I ordered on aliexpress weeks ago got cancelled because of corona. I had ordered the DYKB bluetooth one recommended by Will. Or does anyone know another source for that particular bms? batteryhookup.com is out of stock, amazon.com doubles the price and I haven't found a seller on ebay...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

The “fender“ washer is simply wider than a regular washer. (Maybe my terminology is wrong. Perhaps you call them “penny” washers) I would of course pick stainless steel. A normal washer just won’t be large enough to keep the bus bar in place because of the large hole. The included screws have a...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

My cells arrived yesterday. Very well packaged. Outer box with an inner box, with proper foam. The terminals weren't taped off though. The 105Ah cells unfortunately have M4 screws on the terminals, not M6. The holes in the bus bars are large, so I'm a little worried if the contact area is large...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

UPS came by today, but didn't deliver (I was in the backyard, strange that they didn't make more of an effort). I had to pay an extra $67 of fees (import taxes, customs fees, etc). $117 extra on an order of ~$260 is an expensive "corona markup" :-/ The BMS will only arrive in April. Should I...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

My order was returned to the logistics company because flights from China to Belgium have been suspended. They proposed shipping via UPS which would cost an additional $50 ($189 iso $139). Amy also mentioned this new shipping method would incur customs fees. I hope only the typical 21% VAT will...

Plot-twist. The video of earlier is actually from another customer ? I guess I’m not getting those 280Ah cells after all ?‍♂️

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

I wouldn't mind that ?. Amy did confirm the 8kg weight (4x2kg) when she quoted the shipping costs. The 280Ah cells should weigh 5.2kg each, so ~21kg. I expect at least the shipping company would notice it.

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

Amy had the warehouse prepare a video where they test voltage and internal resistance of each cell. I did not ask for it, so it's nice that they do this regardless. The voltage and internal resistance look very close. The packaging looks good too. These are 4x 105Ah cells. They do look thicker...

Is this a good setup for small DIY battery bank?

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I recently bought a small trailer to go on short (1~3 day) weekend trips. I'm thinking of buying the following components for a DIY battery bank: Battery cells: 4x 3.2V 105Ah lifepo4 batteries from Xuba on alibaba (€260) BMS: Will's recommended 4S 12V 100A DYKB...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

I put in an order for a smaller batch: 4x105AH for $137 + $139 shipping to Belgium via ”air freight” with expected 10 day delivery time. It’ll be my first DIY battery. I plan to use it in a small leisure RV so I don‘t need much storage. Amy mentioned she would include bus-bar on all orders from...
