Australian government make them charge 10 percent GST on all purchases, who knows if they actually pay it to the Australian tax office but there more than happy to charge its it pure profit.
Maybe a catenary system like there trialing in Germany it’s the only thing that would be able to deliver the power required a few miles of overhead lines to recharge on the move
I drive a 65 ton truck up to 1100km 680 miles? a night I think the battery technology has a bit of catching up to do but for short range metro deliveries could work.

You should get one of a size that it will be loaded up diesels don’t like being under loaded for long periods they will glaze up and start burning oil excessive fuel usage ect and will need pulling down and re honing
