My little 288 sq. ft. off grid cabin in far west Texas. This a 150 watt suitcase kit that I've had for a small camper and made an adjustable ground wood frame for it. Currently working on a 600 watt adjustable solar array to go with the existing 150 watt system. Have 3-100 ah renogy batteries...
I get that about the expectations. Just to have some options and a few angle changes during the year. Noticing the sun rise and sun sets during the winter and summers is interesting with no obstructions and a happy medium with a south south west direction of the solar array. Easy angle change...
I was looking for a small 6" or 8" 12 volt fan that I can connect to 12 volt fuse block or USB port and found this one on amazon and really like it, super quiet, lots of air movement so much that I got another one for my desk station. So can use this fan without inverter to blow more air on the...
We just got the Mini Roam with 50 GB at $50 a month and $1 per GB over 50 and pause anytime this Dec. Worked well enough at our off grid cabin in far West Texas. Equipment package $499. In the pic, can see the mini mounted on a FM radio boost 10' antenna on the left side go cabin.
Follow up on this thread. I'm impressed after switching from the ground mount solar array and parallel 4 to 1 MC4 branch connectors to series setup at my off grid cabin in far West Texas. Adjusted the solar array to 35 degrees facing south/south west for December/January. Also changed to series...
Little brother did most of the cutting and assembly of this new steel adjustable array from left over parts but mostly my design and liked the adjustable abilities, we spend about every other month at the cabin or 6 months a year. I like having to easily change the angles on the original wood...
Just got back home after 28 days at my off grid cabin, under construction and testing new 12 volt 600 watt solar array. Solar array survived 60 mph sustained winds. My green wall solar power, 3-100 amp Lipo batteries parallel and Renogy 60 amp charge controller. Powering electrical grid, ceiling...
I had a WZRELV 3000 12 volt recently and had plenty of power to run household appliances as well as a portable table saw and 10" chop shop. However I found it quite noisy and frequently kicking on the small fans. Added a small table fan to help blow on the inverter and that helped some. Liked...
Had a couple cloudy rain days, so switched the frig back to propane to allow the batteries to fully recharge. Oddly my Lipo battery charger died and not able to use the generator with charger for auxiliary source. Everything else was was fine on solar.
Have a concern with these 4 to1 MC4 branch connectors rated 30 amps on my 2 separate 800 watt solar panels arrays. With the 2-800 watts of solar panels being too much for the MC4 connectors to handle going to the dual Renogy 60 amp ROVER charge controllers. Should something like a combiner box...
