  • Post in thread: PSA: The only lugs you should use

After I got my "SELTERM" lugs, which is highly rated and recommended on Amazon and here on the forum, I was disappointed to say the least Found a place that sales big boys lugs Attaching photos so you can see the difference (both are 0/2 awg / 70mm with M8 hole) * In the photo is another lug...

  • Post in thread: How would you mount bi-facial?

DIY tilt mechanism is an extremely hard project, need to withstand extreme forces I won't DIY it, I will buy a finished tested product, if and when one will come out (didn't find something on the market that fits my need)
  • Post in thread: PSA: The only lugs you should use

The way they are all made is - a tinned copper tube -> cut -> squash at the end -> rounded -> drill a hole -> profit
  • Post in thread: Alternatives to lynx distributor?

I just want something that works and be done with it, not my goal to diy it, I have other things to do :)

  • Post in thread: Victron 150/45 vs 150/60?

Yes but it's only 15 amps, while 100/30 and 150/45 are the same size... :) a conspiracy? who knows Anyway, at that price I can get 2 150/45 instead of one 150/60....unless I'll figure out a difference

  • Post in thread: Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers are shipping - Just got mine!

55 VDC for mppt is pretty useless with today's solar panels which are 49V open circuit at 25C Regarding alternator - so starting my truck for 3 hours to charge the batteries is not a viable option in your opinion? (It's an old girl, c3500hd chevy 02')

I'm would buy them from a local seller with 3 years warranty He said that they are great batteries and he didn't have any returns yet But after all that, I won't get near it The only reason I considered it is because I didn't find a teardown video of them from one of the youtubers They gotta...
  • Post in thread: Victron 150/45 vs 150/60?

I finished my installation a few days ago and I realized that the best setup for me (RV, Low panel count-5) One mppt per panel, i.e 75/15 or 100/20 This will yield the maximum from each panel and give me the data to see if one of the panels is funky in any way
  • Post in thread: Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers are shipping - Just got mine!

Cool that's a good use case
  • Post in thread: Charging a 48v battery with 24v MPPT?

Thanks @SamG340 and @Crowz I got my answer A follow up question - getting 2 24v batteries and series them now (until the current inverter dies, he is 4 years old bless his heart), and in the future parallel them for an 48v system will be as efficient as a 48v one? (48v 1 bms large pack vs 24v...

EVE 280K vs EVE 304 vs CATL 304? I've heard that the 304 bloat more? is that true? does it affect anything? What is the current recommended alibaba battery sellers? I've seen that Docan is out of the picture, and that Amy is cool

  • Post in thread: PSA: The only lugs you should use

Very good inputs Locally ultra fine stranded wire is not available, and the common flexible wire is less fine but not heavy stranded, just bellow class 5 That's why the same electrical stores that sells them also sells the THICC lugs My current setup got warm at the lugs and that's why I went on...

They do look the same... I tried really hard to find a picture of the inside of the box without luck, literally a black box purchase
  • Post in thread: Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers are shipping - Just got mine!

as I said - Because most solar panels manufactured today require a higher mppt voltage to work....you'll than need to search for older / second hand solar panels to create your array, that's all, definitely objective
