Need advice on altering system after financial twist

Do you have links to the materials you used for this pool heater? I’d love to do something similar!

How to charge the Ryobi 18v and 40v batteries directly from solar

Yeah it works great for the 18v b/c the imax b6 has custom charge settings. The BMS still works, but yes it might bypass the temp sensor. The charge settings on the imax are super helpful in that regard.

How to charge the Ryobi 18v and 40v batteries directly from solar

If you opened it up and took out the guts then soldered the positive and negative terminals to the 41.7v dc input like I did with my flashlight it would work.

How to charge the Ryobi 18v and 40v batteries directly from solar

    1. 100 watt monocrystaline panel 2. Renogy Rover Mppt 40 amp (you could get by with 20amp I’m sure) 3. iMax B6 4. 2x 6v Trojan t-105 flooded lead acid (you could probably use any other 12v battery) 5. Old ryobi flashlight w/o the bulb (or any other old tool out of the trash or on OfferUp) 6. The...

How to charge the Ryobi 18v and 40v batteries directly from solar

Theoretically the boost converter that Off Grid Garage Andy just posted in his latest video could do it as long as you’re watching it charge and disconnect it as soon as it is full.

    The RV Power Trailer

You just have to be very careful not to exceed the maximum amps that the one battery bank’s BMS will allow.

    (2)LV6548 vs Growatt 12kW vs (2)LVX6048

If you plan on running the air conditioning units you’d better go with the low frequency inverter for compressor surge.

    LVX-6048 Ground Fault

Sounds like the automatic transfer switch in the unit isn’t working properly :( pictures of your current set up when it works and doesn’t work and posting your manual might help others solve this.

    LVX-6048 Ground Fault

This sounds kind of like what Andy from Off Grid Garage was dealing with. Check out this video, he eventually went with a Victron inverter and it fixed the issue.

Oversizing is usually only an issue for your wallet :)

Yeah 40a and 12ga doesn’t sound like a good idea. I’d go 30a max and that’s with a good thhn wire.

I think you’re good to go brewman as long as the fuse block connected to that converter pulls less than 50 amps at 12v which is roughly 25amps @ 24v that fuse of yours shouldn't pop. Oh, also as long as your converter can handle an output of up to 12v at 50 amps and just in case you do pull 50...
