I stumbled across this video: he is using a shunt instead of a bms, is this a wise decision? Can a shunt be used to substitute a bms if you balance the cells?

I'm learning more about LFP batteries, and have looked at many videos online, so I just found this interesting one: he is saying LFP burns hotter than other types of lithiums, he also shows a video of a LFP battery shooting flames, all previous videos I have seen they just puff out smoke.
