I notice on DIY Leaf module powerwalls in the parallel stacks the centre-tap is also connected up in parallel? Would the battery work the same without the centre taps in the 2s being connected? Is it just for balancing purposes and BMS monitoring they are connected in this way?

How critical is compression for Prismatic cells ie Leaf modules? I see some just screw the parallel stack onto threads leaving the external modules free to expand while some compress all cells. I know for longevity compression is better but safety wise is it safe just screwing the modules onto...

Thanks for the helpful reply. Yes ISC, cable sizing is no problem, I've seen different values given though for the margin you should have between the ISC of your string and the max input of the inverter. Say isc of the string is 18A and the inverter max input is 18.1A. That's too close for comfort.

Does anybody have recent experience with this seller/reseller? Reviews going back a bit seem ok, good overall I think, more recent reviews seem to have taken a negative turn. They only complete sale via bank transfer, not PayPal, so once the money is gone it's gone. Appreciate any opinions.
