Although the majority of inverters utilizing HV battery setup probably needs comms with a BMS, the Deye inverter actually doesn't and offer a pure voltage setting, even for this 50kW beast.

I think that might be different for HV vs. LV inverters.

Alright, so it seems the people posting on their facebook isn't the sharpest when it comes to English, so I think what they meant was that there are HV options available too and it's not the ones listed. Their HV option with 48V battery packs is called BOS-G and comes with a dedicated controller

I know, Deye unfortunately still have a long way to come on their documentation/communication side, but they confirmed multiple times that these can be series connected.

There are 48V batteries out there with BMS that support series connection, so I figured it also existed in the DIY space, but it's slim pickings here :D

Hey guys, I've finally completed my 3x 12kW Deye inverters with 3x Seplos MASON 280 DIY kits, and I am now looking at the next shiny thing, the Deye SG01HP3 50kW to run our whole installation instead :D It runs on high voltage batteries (150-800V) and I am wondering if anyone knows of DIY BMS...

Then the 3 batteries would run different SOC all the time and if one inverter failed I'd loose a battery too. If one inverter had a full battery but excess power, it couldn't feed into the other two. I can think of 0 advantages of doing it like this

You can't think of an advantage of parallel connecting batteries? :unsure: I'm not sure how to respond to this? How else would you connect multiple batterypacks to one or more inverters?

You're welcome and thanks. I wouldn't know, you'll have to ask Victron Denmark. If the system is grid tied and export is possible on the port connected to the grid, then you need to have it approved. Simply setting 0 export wont suffice.

Landscape I could do 2 panels in height with 35 degree pitch without needing extra equipment for mounting. We also didn't want the arrays to have too much height. Other than that, I don't think there's any :)

It's actually 3 separate ground mounts, of which the first has been completed today(still need to do wiring etc) but the roof mount is up and running our barn and workshop in off-grid mode until our utility provider has processed our solar registration.
