Experience building DIY 18650 battery packs. I use a Kweld for spot welding. Also tinker w/ 12V automotive electronics, particularly off-road lighting for my truck.
Current or Future Solar Power System
I have around 3Kwh of new old stock 18650 batteries that I am planning on using for a powerwall in conjunction with rooftop solar. My plan is to run a 48V system, as the 48V MPPT systems seem to offer the most bang for the buck. I have not purchased panels yet because I'm still learning and am trying to ensure that my system is first and foremost safe. I do not plan on tying to the grid, at least for now, as my understanding is that this increases the amount of permitting and hence significantly increases the cost.
