    Victron smart shunt data storing?

Correct. Data logging was so that while disconnected I don't lose SOC like I do with the JBD BMS. Ideally I didn't want a screen, but appears to be only option vs having to build a rPi. Space is very minimal. Westy is what it's all built in

    Victron smart shunt data storing?

Yeah, that's overkill... will just get the AiLi or Renogy. Renogy advantage is "name brand" and 500a and can get to me before my trip tomorrow. :p

    Victron smart shunt data storing?

Based on the comments above, it sounds like a dedicated screen is the best method... :/ https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/battery-monitors.html The renogy for 2x the price likely gets you nothing more than a brand name... but also can be at my door in 3hrs. Hmmm

    Victron smart shunt data storing?

I'm looking to add a shunt that I can know the actual capacity of my batteries. My BMS (jbd) always resets to 120ah if I don't connect to bluetooth 100% for >24hrs. I know the JBD isn't reliable, so everytime I get in my van, the SOC is a crapshoot. I don't use the batterybut about 130hrs/mon so...

Circuit breaker type? 12v from Renogy 30 to 120ah LiFePo4

As title states, I currently have a 40amp breaker (tube style Anoshi brand) and it is now breaking instantly. I read elsewhere these style are crap. I'm looking at the square kind, but there are many brands. The one I have also comes in square, but want to ensure I'm buying a good breaker style...

Looking to protect top of battery with plexiglass

This doesn't solve putting pressure on them though, I would imagine.

Looking to protect top of battery with plexiglass

I'm also debating getting shorter bolts as that's where the "resting" comes into play, but good to know and will definitely avoid then! Especially since this is in a van and rattling while resting on terminals...eek

Looking to protect top of battery with plexiglass

I wasn't sure if that was electrically neutral or not so shy away from that. Plus...I kinda wanna see the pretty wire management I did. Hahahaha

Looking to protect top of battery with plexiglass

Updated...it's the relabelled jiabaida bms. Dumb question...but isn't plexi just a manufacturer name for acrylic?

Avoid AliExpress "LiitokalaVariCoreFlagship Store" from "$433 280Ah LiFePO4 Cells Tested: Cheaper than lead acid!" video

What's the beef with Renogy? In Will's newest videos he now has the WILLPROWSE code back in the descriptions.

Looking to protect top of battery with plexiglass

My battery is now installed in my van, but I want to add a layer of protection between the terminals and my lid and anything shorting the sides. I was thinking of getting 1/8" plexi and heat bending it as a "hat" over my cell pack and screwed to the wood compression slats. My three questions...

    4s4p LiFePO4 Build Log

Why won't they trip? Isn't that their purpose?

    4s4p LiFePO4 Build Log

Why the hate on that breaker? I've got a 40a and 50a in my van. One note...the OverkillBMS app (3.1.2026) doesn't have the ability to unlock the BMS in the event of protection. Only way out is to unlink, install 3015 version, link, hit the big unlock button, unlink, uninstall 3015 and then...

    The secret to compression

Having just read fhorst's fire, it's got me thinking...I put the cutting boards in and tightened my 4 corner nuts to decent tightness, not too extreme, but since these cells bulge in the middle, there will always be gaps at the corners.. Might allow me to re wire/fix my BMS also as I can ground...

    The secret to compression

And I presume this foam is electricly inhibitive in the event of abrasion? I have 4 (Blue film style) cells with plastic cutting boards between all cells, ends, top and bottom to prevent abrasion (in vehicle) to try and make shorting impossible if film wears. Wonder if I can take this foam...
