I was going to order 4 280K from Docan this thread helped me realize what is going on and I ordered 4 280K from 18650batterystore. You are helping many people find out the truth.
Wow I just got my 48 cells from sunfun thinking I was all that and a bag of chips, but 160??
subbed to your thread curious to see how the basen green boxes will work.
Interesting I have some grade A 230 cells from 18650batterystore I will take some pictures of the qr code and post here to see if I see any blurry portion in the middle.
There are plenty of us that buy from SFK and have no issues with pallets coming form them, the prices are cheaper than 18650, have test reports, and much stronger terminals, especially vs the new ones which appear to be breaking off...
Clearly you don't have either, there is plenty to not like with the dual pole cells:
I asked this a few months ago and never got a striaght answer, it was regarding this video:
So I kept searching and the know-it-all @Alkaline said I was nuts and to check Andy from offgrid garage, well lo...
The price from US location means a good bit more money. I was basically in the same situation as you last month and ended up ordering from overseas, but with a US company and paid with a credit card. This way if anything goes wrong I can get my money back. 18650 would have been $789 more vs...
Ok I think I have everything set! I'm using this heater and a 1500 watt inverter along with the BMS capacity benchmark. Its running now.
Overall the kit was easy to build I think anyone can do it, the only hard parts are the making the cables and crimps.
Have you looked at this:
https://www.sunfunkits.com/product/122/sfk-v4-24v-lf105-eve-cells-kit
As you already are using a JK BMS it could be possibly transplanted into it. They have a heated jacket that may add in helping in the cold climates.
I've been happy with my 12v kit, allowed me to...
These are with there own battery terminal that has a stud in a aluminum base, looks very good and strong nice coverage area for the bus bars. Also they are striaght no bending. A LOT better than the dual pole I got from 18650 store.
I have to say I really like what they are doing with the label...
I just saw this and well this is ridiculous: 280AH cells that are putting out 298AH under a 80amp test:
$950 battery with bluetooth and low temp...
I'm actually now a bit depressed my LF280K grade A can't even hit 280AH. Something is wrong with the LF280K, this company EVE should issue a recall.
I don't take advice form scam artists like ray that go around pitching docan and calling other companies scams mean while:
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/docan-power-bad-experience-beware.61866/post-773779
and then makes videos saying a fake docan is selling counterfeit, swollen cells but...
Tis a shame...
I have had good luck with 18650 store, just ordered my second set of 280K from them. But seeing this makes me think I will probably avoid them. You should be given an entire 4 pcs set shipped to you at no charge.
Those cells look like a health risk, I would not even attempt to...
Hello,
I would like to share with you my battery build, after seeing videos on Nate's DIY youtube I decided to do the same:
I chose cells from 18650batterystore the LF280K grade A, and the standard heated kit V4 with heating.
The total cost for cells was $644 delivered to Virginia and $373...
I purchased there cells based on this video:
The guy showed the AH and WH, also at the time they were the cheapest cells I could find with test reports. So they do show the WH/3.2 is the AH.
If WH / 3.2 is a valid way to get AH then why is this a point of contention? Either its right or wrong.
This is quite interesting, I think this should be moved to the main forums, I have always thought the way to go was AH as well!
Chat GPT is insane you can write whole term papers with it, using it to check for battery questions is genius
I thought everyone knew about Docan, I searched for docan when looking to buy and the 3rd result was that beware Docan thread in the results. Avoided them and went with 18650batterystore instead.
The other 2 companies that have grade A cells are ezeal and sun fun kits. The rest are just selling...
I built the V4 kit with heating from Sun Fun Kits and it went together really well I also made a build thread. I used cells from 18650batterystore but I wished I had used the REPT 280 cells from Sun Fun Kits as the 280K test to around 278 where the REPT are in the 290 range. So overall happy...
Shocking how fellow republicans are not acknowledging this guy. Sharp, self funded, not under the control of a super pac, and is a minority so the wokies already disarmed with the usual racial bs they use to get there point across.
That maybe true but what matters to me as a buyer is that I get what I pay for at a reasonable price. As for the owners opinions, well opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and they usually stink.
With SFK I know what I'm going to pay and I will get. My first order with them I called...
Why is that you have Sun fun kits total cost including shipping but everyone else excluded shipping? If you apply the same cost on all other vendors vendors than
18650 would be $133/ kw including shipping
batteryhookup would be $146/kw including shipping
Sunfun would be $122/kw including...
That's news to me sounds like you are pulling stuff out of your rear. ?I have cells from 18650 and SFK both had test reports 18650 emailed me an excel file and the 48 cells I just got from sfk have all the cell testing data on each cell.
While I don't agree with a lot of what Alkaline says, his...
Ok well I just asked again and after mentioning this thread I got it down to 77.00/cell! So almost $400.00 cheaper(y)
$4782.62 or $99.637 / cell shipped with all the fees.
This is shipped to VA. Not too shabby, I'll contact EVE official store and see what they say.
I built the above kit with cells form 18650, its a nice solid kit but I got the heated one with a 150 BMS and it has switch to turn on/off heating.
I would do that again, but SFK has a new version of the 280K in stock and they are getting 311 AH form it. My 280K from 18650 got 278AH so just make...
For a big 16 cell you can get from aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804748208695.html
4 cell: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803318042354.html The shipping is higher than the case...
18650batterystore had the same thing but it has been out of stock for months I don't think...
so I "sacrificed" one of the cells just to make sure there is no funny business going on, It seems sanded of QR codes are now common place. They way they have there terminals you really can't remove the cover. This a complete pia to do in case anyone is wondering.
Doesn't look sanded by slight...
What about the 304 cells? 18650 has these in stock: https://www.18650batterystore.com/products/eve-lf304-grade-a-cells-3-2v-lifepo4-304ah-battery no waiting!
If you are dead set on the 280K V3 then go with sun fun kits as 18650 does not have them in stock so you'll be waiting regardless. No...
Yes chatting with Luyuan right now.
I only found grade B 304 on 18650batterystore https://www.18650batterystore.com/products/eve-lf304-grade-b-cells-3-2v-304ah-lifepo4-battery
For real! Like he just waits for posts to start bashing.
We get it, ok you'll probably have better success from the sellers with test reports, but not everyone can afford those!
On the same token, I have to admit some of his hunches turn out to be true 🤷♂️
Avoid 18650batterystore, they sold me 280K cells that advertise as 295 AH and I only got 278 AH! When I asked them about the descrepency they avoided all emails. Then they finally answered the phone and said I would need to send the cells back and pay a 20% restocking fee.
TOTAL BS in my...
This is my build thread: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/my-build-thread-with-lf280k-from-18650batterystore-and-sun-fun-kits-sfk-v4-heated-kit.63360/#post-789819
I had a problem with my kit and SFK responded right away and sent replacement compatible parts in 2 days, always answered all my...
Here is the qr code on one of my EVE 230 grade A from 18650batterystore:
Doesn't seem to be blurry or the blurry is the same. I peeled off black cover and then using some rubbing alcohol to clean the area around it.
No sanding marks that I found.
I tried to get a close up of the qr code, it...
My cells form 18650batterystore were made in October 2022, 278AH is what I got, according to the excel file provided by 18650batterystore they should have been 295AH.
18650batterystore they were with in spec and a 5% error of margin is common in the industry.
I'm fine with them they work fine...
On the 18650batterystore website they show these cells are supposed to be 295 or so range:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0481/9678/0183/files/Capture_6e06f765-4b22-4773-b6c1-0b6f1f8655d2.jpg?v=1663390796
But I got only 278.38? Should I run the test again? Or is it bad to full cycle cells.
One of the cells on has some liquid under the blue cover, I called 18650batterystore and James tells me its nothing to worry about I also read a few people on the forums have this as well and it is ok.
The Sun Fun Kits is most assembled, I chose the option to get my pads soldered for easier...
So the standard version you can pay to have the wires crimped, but I already have a hydraulic crimper so I will make my own wires, but everything is included actually there is more wire then needed. Its nice silicone 6 awg wire, it is also sfk's own brand.
my cells both Watthours and Amhours on the label:
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/48-cell-304-pallet-from-sun-fun-kits.72913/#post-925556 I don't think SFK is trying to be shady by including Wh. I also checked the QR code it did not have any signs of sanding.
So this is how far I have gotten to, I install the cells, SFK told me that for the dual terminals you will need 16 m8 bolts and they sent it to me at no charge. They said not use to use the threaded rod included with the package form 18650 as it can not be tighten properly. However, I will show...
So here is where I'm stuck at at, they have this part that increases the height but one of its "branches" is hitting the bolt. I sent this to SFK and they said they are shipping a replacement riser to me and it should be arriving today.
So this is where I am at till now, its been pretty good...
I went with the Sfk the price delivered is $155.34/cell which is the cheapest I was able to get from anyone. I paid with credit card and I'll let you know what I get deliver is supposed to be in 45 days.
I did talked with Chris at 18650 and they went down to 145.00/cell but shipping was...
The v5 kit or the v4 with the gen 2 switch so you can turn the active balancer on or off or set it to turn on when the battery is full. Also JBD can be hacked via bluetooth so being able to turn bluetooth off is a big safety feature.
Sunfunkits are supposed to be sending me an upgrade kit so I...
I just saw your review on there 280 kit... are you 100% positive you had 280AH cells and not 300Ah? I'm just having a hard time believing you got 298 from 280 cells.
Do you have the link to there test report for the test?
This is sounded like some fairy tale the company is making up, you should look under the qr code. I have not seen this before and why hasn't this come up on any other cells before. Most of these companies with real grade A also give you a test report like 18650batterystore and sunfunkits, did...
Looks to be pallets and its is a great price, which is unfortunate for me as I ordered pallets last month and paid for shipping 😣
I would not be concerned about there terminals, I have had them all the SFK are my favorite of them all.
SFK is usually higher than 18650 for smaller cells and...
Watt-Hour is much more accurate way of measuring capacity. If you pass watt-hour you passed capacity test IMO, AH is nice but does not override WH I believe.
from Sams thread: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/cell-price-drop.72837/post-950027
That link to quora post explains:
Watt Hour is...
What are the best solar panel setups for a trailer where you have a 8.5x24 area to cover. Also if anyone has some type of setup where you can slide out additional panels form underneath, Please share. Ideally we have an array in the middle and 2 sliding arrays that come out on the left and...
https://www.sunfunkits.com/product/55/48-cell-eve-pallet-lf304-prismatic-lithium-certified-automotive-grade-32v
Price with discount code is $8750.00 or $182.29 / cell delivered so quite a bit more than Luyuan of $26.12 / cell delivery time is same as luyuan of up to 60 days.
is there any place...
They did not even try on this one, maybe they were still perfecting the technique? Some of the altered QR codes on the docan 230 look pretty good and need to be looked at very closely.

I'm using this bms:
https://jiabaidabms.com/products/jbd-smart-bms-3s-4s-100a-120a-150a-200a-lithium-lion-battery-pcb-with-uart-heating-function-series-connection
and these heating pads...
I'm new as well you can view my thread and see my 280AH build thread:
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/my-build-thread-with-lf280k-from-18650batterystore-and-sfk-v4-heated-kit.63360/#post-789819
They included active balancer so I think for big cells you just need to get it.
I have something similiar but my issue is that the heating pads will not turn off! They keep running even without charging and are getting power from the battery itself.
Hey,
I got 278ah from mine from 18650, but I was using in a 4 pack with a BMS so may be extra 1 AH if used with a standard tester.
I made a battery using 4 cells...
Well as a test I purchased a JBD bms from the jiabada store with all the options like heating, 4 in series (48v), heating, and rs-485.
No option to change how the heating works or set state of charge.
I tried to *fool* the sfk app to by renaming it sfk in the overkill solar, still no go, the...
I have a pallet of the 320s 65 cells on order my total was $6294.00 paying with check. Flex bus bars, and .5mm sheets. Freight was $345 via xpo logistics. I'll post pics when I get them.
looks like the v4 basic kit is back in stock:
https://www.sunfunkits.com/product/72/sfk-v4-12v-basic-diy-kit
pretty good for $162.00, also a plastic case so better for water.
I'm building my second v4 kit with heating going smooth so far.
I have dealt with 18650 battery store many times and it has been a striaght forward process. Good products and service.
I have been buying 105 cells from them, probably up to 300 or so thus far.
If you aren't happy with 18650 you can try sunfunkits another good vendor that I have been dealing...
304 from 18650 = $149 x 4 = $596
304 from sfk = 695 - 55.6 (coupon) = $639
So correction you would save $39, but if you go with the 280K V3 which is getting 310AH you would be:
665 - 53.2 = 611.38
I will be setting 2 Tiny Homes fully electric, they are going to be 120v only. Battery setup will be 48v.
What is the best inverter for the price I'm looking at the 3000 watt 48V EG 4:
The other would be a Victron 48v
Open to other suggestions, but need to keep idle current low which is...
So I got my cells from Sun fun Kits last week I ordered beginning of September and it took about 80 or so days to arrive. I probably delayed it a bit because I wanted the flexible bus bars so maybe added a week or two.
It was a good transaction for the most part I called them probably 3 or 4...
Out of curiosity I got a quote from Lampard Lei-HZ on the eve official store for 48 cells and it was $4690.00 after all shipping fees, taxes, and alibaba fees and delivery to me. So they will sell 48 cells. $97.70 / cell delivered.
For the same amount Luyuan was $5256.00 that is $109.5/cell...
There are 8 boxes of cells 1 box with bus bars and separators. I got 48 of the fiberglass plates and 48 of the bus bars along with 3 of the longer diy bars which are probably too long but I'll see if I can make them work. Overall nice upgrade that was included at no extra cost?
I have been pretty pleased with v4 sunfunkit, I used there kit and cells from 18650battery store. There seems to be some quality issues with docan and sanded / relaserd qr codes so I suggest you read up on that. Look into the v5 kit if you need heating.
They put both on the label now, I linked to my thread.
I think the issue was with the 280K only meeting WH but not AH.
My cells form 18650 were the same way, just shy of AH but meeting WH.
So the issue of the 280K affects all vendors, now they have a 280K v3 that fixes this.
Well according to a spreadsheet 18650batterystore gave me I was supposed to get 295AH on a cell that tested only to 278AH. There spreadsheet did not have WH on them only AH. I just said the heck with it I have them now and its fine.
What is the best price on 32 or so, may be possibly 48 cells grade A 304. Not looking for grade B, they will need to have the test report. I can wait for delivery.
This is going into a tiny house that will be running a LV6548 inverter.
5800 for 48 cells of 304 which are 1KWH cells:
https://www.sunfunkits.com/productgroup/12/48-cell-eve-pallet-lf304-prismatic-lithium-certified-automotive-grade-32v?ProductID=127
$120.88 shipped/kw with the bus bars (non flex) and the round studs
But its not 1 month it smore like 2+ months...
Sorry it has a built in 120v ac/12v dc for the blower, I meant to say it does not need power for the heating. A Redodo 12v 100Ah will be used as the main 12v supply for the tiny home.
So EV grade then, I already purchased 280K from 18650store they tested Ok, it was the grade A the ones they sell. I want to get 304 because of the limited space, this house basically sits on a tandem axle trailer.
