Insulation material between aluminum case cells.

Leakage voltage? That would be a short. I've heard of current leakage but that's different. The voltage I read was full cell voltage at the case. I can't find a good picture of the construction online. I'm thinking that when the cell is built the cathode is on the outside and touches the case...

Insulation material between aluminum case cells.

Nice. Looks like a perfect. I have 1/8 neoprene that should do the trick.

Insulation material between aluminum case cells.

They are made that way. In the video they said the positive was tied to the case of the cells. The (thin) blue wrap keeps them from shorting out when connected in a battery pack. I confirmed it on my Eve cells with a meter. Look at the 6 minute mark on this youtube link We took a Tour of...

Insulation material between aluminum case cells.

I am so glad I watched the Big Battery Tour and heard them talk about the positive terminal being connected to the outside of aluminum case batteries. Clamping these batteries together without the insulation between them is a recipe for disaster. In my opinion, as in your post, this extra step...

    Coffee Maker

kWhs per cup and cost of the equipment needed to get you there. The more I added it up for me, the less it made sense. Bigger battery, more solar panels, larger SCC, bigger wire going to a bigger inverter. It's a no brainier. 30 buck MyJo and some propane and your coffee is made in about 5...

    Coffee Maker

My wife wouldn't go camping/travel unless she had her K-cup coffee. I didn't want to run a generator for one cup of coffee so I found a portable k-cup coffee make "MyJo" and a tea kettle. Water boils quickly on the stove and the one cup coffee maker works flawlessly. We have been using it for...

Is BIG BATTERY full of Crap??

The cheap test equipment you've been using is ok but you have the lab now... you need to invest in real test equipment.

Ordered 4 cells 280ah From Shenzhen Basen, CN

Nice. That would be best. If I were doing a bunch of batteries I would do the same thing.

Ordered 4 cells 280ah From Shenzhen Basen, CN

Yes mine leads are too. The solution is to add parallel wires as stated on my previous post or replace with higher amperage leads. I measured the drop from the power supply to the battery and added jumper wires until the problem went away.

Ordered 4 cells 280ah From Shenzhen Basen, CN

Is there a reason why you are not charging at a higher voltage?

Ordered 4 cells 280ah From Shenzhen Basen, CN

It's showing improvement but you still have a long way to go. The leads that came with my power supply had a lot of resistance. I was losing .5 volts in the lead wires at 10 amps. If you back out the terminal on the power supply you can add parallel wires to eliminate that problem and put more...

Slim configuration & flexible busbars (280AH)

I have never ordered from Galco either. They were an easy link to show the product and pricing. We get ours from a local distributor.

Slim configuration & flexible busbars (280AH)

The braided style you ordered look good and are pretty inexpensive. This is the manufacturers website and I found slightly easier to pick out sizes. https://www.erico.com/category.asp?category=R2028 I like the flexibar because it gives a lot of "flexibilty" (pun intended) you can drill and...

    What are my options...?

Ebay isn't so bad. I have bought a lot of good things there. FYI from Ebay website "The buyer is entitled to return an item that arrives faulty or damaged—even if you said in your listing that you don’t accept returns."
