Feedback on Class C RV diagram

OR.. you could leave the DC to DC you have... and disconnect the solar input, which you can run to a new controller for solar charging. Leave the DC charger on the alternator and you'll keep your 30a charge while driving, regardless of the solar input. Adding a new solar controller is the only...

YES: RV Solar/ Li/ and AC running full time

We had some 85 deg days last week, and my new 1500w setup is super steady. I left all the blinds UP and curtains OFF for 7 straight days of sun and monitored the system, while the AC was left on at 72 the whole time. I never saw more draw than 450w and the system was producing easily 700+w, but...

    Class C motorhome install

You can use the stock rv power panel and convertor, assuming you disconnect or disable the 'charger' portion of the convertor forever... don't use that with lithium. The 12v will come from the batteries forever. You also have your invertor going into the 120v side of the box, but also the...

    GFCI

My renogy inverters are all hardwired and still have GFCI protection...because it's in the inverter.

Mounting Solar Panels on RV with Curved Roof

It's had lots of trips so far, and zero bad happened. In fact, nothing at all happened. It's so very stiff and solid this way. I'll be doing this again on the next curved roof.

    GFCI

ya, the Renogy 2000 and 3000w I have installed 3 times now, and they are super. Low parasitic draw, and quiet and STRONG. Use the battery wires they send... for a reason. They are great wires. Mount the renogy as close as required to use those cables. The renogy inverters have a built in GFCI.

    GFCI

I use one of those invertors, and so do 2 of my friends. They are great, and you don't want to 'double up' on GFCI items, the one in the invertor will be fine for the whole van. Use regular outlets in the van.

Buying 4 100w panels for RV

^^^ That sounds like a system that's on my cousin's bus. Those Renogy 100's are working fine for him for a while now. 2s2p would be a nice setup coming into that Victron. I'd keep the flex panels setup for that Zamp as well, don't mix and match if you can help it.

    New Setup: Help Wanted

Get an EcoFlow or jackery or something similar, charge that with these panels. and then use that for some electrical loads instead of the grid. that's going to be the only way to make something of those tiny panels.

HELP, off grid, discharged lithiums, huge storm coming

The snow should be over now, yeah. It's been a few days. Don't charge your lithium AmpereTimes if it's below 32, they don't usually have any low temp disconnect.

RV Cable entry / roof gland

I used the fridge vent as a pass through for 2 of my 3 installs, it's super easy, and no more holes. The 3rd I used a gland, and only a 2 wire. That went pretty well with lots of proper sealant (dicor). It was just a matter of positioning of the rest of the solar equipment that dictated this...

    Cinergi's 28 kWh / 4 kW Solar / 10 kW inverter RV build

So you're getting 50% of your possible input at winter solstice. I'd say that's reasonable.

    Valence XP Super Thread

I have the same sort of setup, I use top charge of 13.8 bulk, 13.4 as the rest voltage, and low cut at 12.1 for my draw appliances. They aren't very much used, but they are 'old' so I'm going easy on them. And it's been like that for 4 straight years of my ownership. Zero hassles. I'm assuming...
