    Cannot find password ?!

Don't know about Growatt but Epever does the same thing as far as asking for a password. If I just hit the enter key again it continues to program. You might just try that.

Panel configuration help on my motorhome

If you go 24 volt, you will need a 24 volt controller and a 24 volt inverter. You do not want to go from 24 to 12 and then your inverter. Either go full 24 volt with 2 or 4 batteries. Or as you have now, make a 24 volt 2 battery system and then a separate 1 battery 12 volt setup for your 12 volt...

Panel configuration help on my motorhome

Personally I would back seat the harbor freight panels, install the Jenco panels with a good 24 volt MPPT controller. Only problem then is that you cannot try to charge the battery bank with an vehicle alternator since it will be a 24 volt system. You can push a lot more amps through a 24 volt...

    New to Forum from Louisiana

Texas here, not to far from you. Just due to regulations and poor pay back I did not go net metering. I started small and then grew the system to what I have now. I have 2 manual transfer switch boxes where I can run 20 different circuits either grid power, solar or generator.

Buying used panels from some random guy on Craigslist.

All of my panels that I have on my setups have been used. Luckily I have been doing business with him for 3 years now with upgrades. He has them listed on FB and Craigs list. You never really know who is shady or not. Check the panels out yourself. So far I have never been burned.

    New Solar Questions

Personally, I would start off with talking to your elec company in Austin if it hints with grid tie. Education is good but depending on how you will be shutdown by either city or electrical provider will be the key. Sorry really don't have a lot of good things to say about the Austin area...

Will this fry my solar charge controller?

Actually, on a 4215 BN at 24 volts, you can over panel up to 3120 watts as long as you do not go over the 150 volts.

Will this fry my solar charge controller?

You may fuse as much as you would like. As far as fusing, i was referring to each panel not a master fuse on the circuit. You need to have one master fuse from the panels. Also, i did not see your panel specs and guessed that your panels are rated between 300 and 400 watts per panel. With...

Will this fry my solar charge controller?

Not for just 3 panels. Guessing that your 3 panels on a perfect day may produce less than 1000 watts? No real reason to fuse each panel.

How many additional batteries should I get?

I am running 12 battleborn batteries. I started out with 2. More i bought the more circuits i dedicated to solar. It is a never ending project.
