LP6048 set up for NMC pouch cells

Hello, I have a 6kw 2P14S pouch cell battery. I have a JK BMS with BT. I have no idea if that BMS's RS-485 can communicate with the TP6048, so I had to select USR in the menu for battery type. The inverter has been charging the battery, but I am not clear on the numbers I should be using for...

    TP6048 unbalanced grid-tie, and errors 60,61

I am going to answer my own question, for those who might have the same problem... Error 61 was caused by the inverter expecting the BMS to be communicating. I selected the generic battery, but I should have selected USE. It does not expect any communication from the BMS.

    TP6048 unbalanced grid-tie, and errors 60,61

hello, First day of use with the TP6048. Hooked AC in and PV string. Enabled grid-tie. Seemed to produce power back to the grid. Did not notice, at first, the current was unbalanced. 4 amps on L1 and 8 amps on L2. Did a sanity check by looking at my SMA inverter in grid-tie. L1 and L2 were...

TP6048 New User, have done grid-tie for many years

Hello, I have 3 grid-tie inverters, and have done this without battery backup for many years. Twp Fronius inverters and a 7kw SMA grid-tie. 14kw PV Bought and received the TP6048 Hybrid Inverter. Read the book, watched a few videos. It is UNCLEAR to me how to achieve Grid-tie using this unit...

    MPP-Solar LVX-6048

Guys, From what I understand, this inverter is not UL nor IEEE certified. You would NOT be able to hook it to the grid here under Georgia Power, at least not legally... GlenB ???

Time to change from grid-tie to hybrid

Well, grid-tie is very important to me during the day because my net rate is around $0.14/kw. I want to mitigate the bill. Selling power back using the 6kw is not important, since I am only paid $0.03/kw for excess power, hardly worth doing. Most days, the 6kw will cover the house 'idle...

Time to change from grid-tie to hybrid

Thanks guys, this was the missing piece. I guess that is why the others cost DOUBLE! It seems as if they are marketed as hybrid inverters, but if they cannot do grid-tie, they are NOT hybrids!!!

Time to change from grid-tie to hybrid

Hello, I currently run two grid-tie systems, 8kw Fronius, and a 6kw SMA. The 8k is under contract with GA Power going to a separate meter,, paying me $0.096/kw. The 6kw is going to the house panel, a 'normal' grid-tie. I want a new hybrid inverter to replace the SMA, and add LFP batteries. I...

    Hybrid system conversion

Yes, wanting to switch from grid-tie to hybrid. I have had some issues with SMA, nothing really bad. The Fronius have worked flawlessly from day 1. Was looking at Schneider 6048 hybrid, but wanted a bit more power, hence the 8kw Outback hybrid. 6kw will run virtually everything important...

    Hybrid system conversion

New to this forum! I have two systems now: 1. an 8kw system with two Fronius inverters going to a separate power meter. This system is under contract with GA Power Company, and I receive $0.096/kw for my power. 2. an 6kw system with an SMA inverter, grid-tie. I only get around $0.035/kw for...
