I am going to answer my own question, for those who might have the same problem... Error 61 was caused by the inverter expecting the BMS to be communicating. I selected the generic battery, but I should have selected USE. It does not expect any communication from the BMS.

Guys, From what I understand, this inverter is not UL nor IEEE certified. You would NOT be able to hook it to the grid here under Georgia Power, at least not legally... GlenB ???

Thanks guys, this was the missing piece. I guess that is why the others cost DOUBLE! It seems as if they are marketed as hybrid inverters, but if they cannot do grid-tie, they are NOT hybrids!!!
