In close loop the BMS is limiting to 56V because that is what the "Pack FullCharge Voltage" is defaulted too. If you change the parameters to 57.6 then it will charge to 57.6.
Use PBMSTools to verify your settings.
Did you get any feedback on this. I have the same inverter and run into the same issue. I am not sure what the Pack Full Charger Voltage should be on the PBMSTool. Any help on this @HighTechLab. I have five 48V SOK Battery with BMS serial number 1B4704022600260D.
Thank you. I am in email contact with your technician Malik. He has been very helpful. Can you also shed some light on my questions below?
Regarding firmware:
I was able to update 4 of 5 of my batteries with the new firmware. However, my other battery would not update. I am getting a Bin...
I am having the same issue. My battery is out of balance. So cell 5 hits 2.8v before all the other ones which are at 3.1V. Currrrntly working on trying to balance them every day with a full charge to 57.6v (OVP).
Got it, Thanks.
I noticed today that 4 of 5of my SOK 48v batteries have the same BMS version number P16S100A-1B470-4.00 The other battery has P16S100A-1B470-3.01, which I assume is an older version. I not sure why they gave me an older version when all five batteries were purchased new at the...
Is there a password that allows you to change parameters on the PBM Tools software
Is there a password for the PBMS Tools? am not able to change settings
Anything new with your system? Have you been able to get them to balance. Cell 5 in my pack 4 tends to drop to 2.7v when the rest of the cells is at about 3.2v. This has caused the system to shut down. Then the max I been able to charge this
Cell is up to about 3.37v.
Thanks. What is your default parameter settings for Full Pack Charge in PBMSTools for your SOK batteries? Mines defaults to 56V but that does not seem correct to me. With 56V the battery would not be completely charge. I think it should be 57.6V but I have not been able to get an answer from...
I did that and after I charged back to 57.6 I noticed I had loss some capacity. Now I am at about 97 to 98 AH on all five of my batteries. I have about 250 cycles on the battery. Is this a concern? Batteries are a like over a year old?
Question, I have my MPP LVX6048WP inverter in closed loop communications with the 48V SOK. The SOK parameters has my inverter float / bulk charge at 56V.
The inverter will not charge to 57.6v unless I am in open loop communications and the inverter is manually program for that.
Is this...
Hey Joshua, I have a LVX6048 MPP and when using communications mines charges up to and floats at 56V. This 56V seams to correlate to the Pack Full Voltage on the PBMSTools. Is that what yours is doing with the 57.6V?
@HighTechLab - Any comments? Should I be using communications with the MPP...
Thanks. I was able to update 4 out of 5 of my batteries with the new firmware. However, I am getting an error message (Bin File Error) on my other battery. This battery is on P16S100A-1B470-3.01. I am not sure why one out of five of my batteries was on an older firmware when they were all...
Did you get any resolution on this? My MPP LVX6048WP does the same. When communications are connected to my 48v SOK, the inverter show 56V as it’s max CV.
Any help is appreciated.
Hello. I was wondering if you can help me understand something. I have a MPP Solar LVX6048WP. I currently have it in closed loop communications.
When i change the Pack Full Charge Voltage in the PBMS tools, the constant voltage parameter changes in my inverter. The only way I can get CV to say...
Hello Brian. Did you ever get resolution on your communication question. I have the SOK and MPP LVX6048WP (2022) edition. I order the communication cable from current connect. I am able to establish communications with the inverter but not confident that the parameters are the correct ones. The...
I guess I am confused. When the pack fullcharge voltage is set at 56V, then the battery does not charge up to 57.6v (is this correct?) in a close loop application. Also, on PBMStool, my battery does not show OVP unless it is push into the OVP setting (3.7V). Is this correct?
