Thank you for all of the replies. I just have to work out how to wire the panels and batteries up safely. Not sure what cables to use.

What to do with my solar stuff!

I have 3 batteries and 2 small solar panels and I’m looking for ideas on what I can do with them: 2 x 12V 10Ah batteries 1 x 12V 30Ah battery 2 x Eco-Worthy Module Type: ECOM-100W panels 1 x Eco-Worthy Solar Power Controller, with 2 USB ports The question is- what the heck can I do with...

    Pond pump

that ECO-WORTHY pump sounds good as I looked at it but couldn't work out how good it would be. Could you send a picture of it in action?

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

thank you. I don't really know what voltage is coming into the motor form the main house. But the motor itself is 24v. And do you think one of those converters (which look perfect) could connect into the main cable in the motor? That the red and black cables could be attached into the main...

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

Yes the gate seems to be 24v. Loved the idea of the extension cord, and then a small Apple charger to power the opener through USB. But I take it that the gate being 24v affects this? FYI I have a cable from the house running out to the gate. At the house end, I have a wall switch (with 5a...

    Pond pump

That pump looks very small. Is there a bigger pump which can be powered by a 100w panel? At the moment I have: - 100w EcoWorthy solar panel - small controller - XiangXin Solar Energy Generator, Portable Solar Generator, High-Capacity 110V Or 220V battery - AC pond pump, plugged into he AC on...

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

I am looking for a recommendation for: - small solar panel - a better, small battery with USB port. Ideally this will fit inside the gate motor housing (see picture above) - battery able to deal with solar panel input- maybe the only option is to have a controller unit as well?

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

Thanks. The gate motor is powered this way. But the Meross device (which links the gate to my WiFi) has a USB cable and needs to be connected to a USB port for power.

    Pond pump

I’m looking for a recommendation for a pump for an outdoor pond (with fish!). I have a pipe leading to a small waterfall drop I have a 100w eco-worthy solar panel with controller and would like to link the pump to this. the pond is about 8ft x 4ft. any thoughts on what’s best for my panel...

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

' Here is a photo of the Meross WiFi trigger, connected to the gate motor - at the moment I am using a small power bank battery pack to power it over its USB cable. But this pack needs to be charged every 4 days. All works great, but I need a better way to give the Meross power.

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

Maybe this would do the job? Solar panel, battery and controller all for about $33? https://www.amazon.com/ECO-WORTHY-Polycrystalline-System-Controller-Battery/dp/B00PFG56ZS?th=1

    This sounds good. Thank you.

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

Yes this could work. At the moment i have a small credit card sized battery housed inside the gate casing. This powers the Meross for about 4 days, before I have to take it into the house to charge. So yes if i knew the solar panel and controller to buy i think i would go for that. Given that...

    Sliding gate WiFi trigger

My electrician said no to using the power cable from the motor as he wants a dedicated power line for opening/closing the gate, and this was why I'm exploring the separate battery. I have it working great right now- I have a small Morphie power bank plugged into the Meross and the house WiFi...
