So I tried again paralleling the inverters after removing the ground neutral bond on both inverter. I keep getting the random split second reset in one of the inverters. Both are using the latest firmware 63.06.
removing the bonding screw did helped on the humming noise and eliminated the...
I tried both ways it did not seem to make any difference. At this point and given that the vendors have not come up with new firmware or a fix, I am in the camp of getting rid of this inverter, both the Mpp and EG. Looks like running in parallel will not happen.
I did had crazy vibration and noise when in parallel and hooked to solar and grid. It was crazy I was worried enough that I was tripping the AC breaker when I was not in the house.
I also saw continues errors and faults. In the end I switch back to operate as single unit. Not what I wanted...
Sorry, but at this point it is a well known issue with the LVX6048. The units does not work in parallel. I know it sucks and it is probably the main reason to get, but it has all kinds of issues when it is connected in parallel... change it to single units and almost all the issues will disappear.
Update.....
Looks like everything runs fine until the batteries reach about 80% of charge at that point the flickering and the weird humming noises start. So I am going to try using them individually (not in parallel). it is very clear the inverter does not like having all three sources energy...
Today I rewire my ground to a ground bar. The house turn into a disco…. Everything was flickering. I pulled out the ground and it went away…. I am sure that if I dont run them in parallel everything will be fine.? not sure what my next step is…. Split the circuits or sell them and go for the...
Fault 60 again… it happens as solar is ramping up and is connected to the grid…?. Same inverter but in reality it is the only one connected to all three sources. Ill do a check with the other inverter during the weekend.
Wierd thing is only one of the units faults… the only differene is secondary firmware version. One the no fault inverter it is 6021 and on the faulting inverter it is 8022.
Just to clarify both my inverters are connected to the grid. At 51v the sistem will switch from batteries to grid. That should only happens on the days I have week solar production. Roght now only one of the inverters is connect to PV. That will change in the next couple of weeks when I add...
