Roger that.
Thought I can do some combination. Guess will have to wait till I have some more money and buy some more panels just to be sure I won't have issues in low light conditions like we have over here by runing 6SP2. Thinking a bit backwards , the 8 in series barely make 120V in early...
You can just connect it to the Solar panels. If it is the SPF5000ES then it is a 2 phase 220V output and you can connect whatever appliance you need to it.
Well, as I said, I'm a total noob in here :)
The range of the inverter operating voltage is 120Vdc~430Vdc... with only 6 in parallel at MAX output would be 208v and when the sun is hiding a bit I am thinking voltage would drop dramatically and won't be enough to open up the working voltage ...
I was thinking at the temperature numbers :)
Regarding "Good question. Another great reason to get a great SCC." ... we all start somewhere and we learn along the way. Some mistakes are more expensive than others but still a learning curve.
Hi guys , sorry to hijack a bit this thread .... I am trying to configure a Linux app to gather BMS data from all batteries and need to configure the V19 JK BMS also to talk RS485 with a waveshare device.
Now ... for the LOVE OF GOD .... Which port is UART1 , which is UART2 and which is UART3 ...
Thanks MisterSandals and rmaddy , taken in consideration all your advice !
Think I will go with 8 like I had it before for a while and when the budget allows it I will order 4 more and will go with 2 strings of 8.
To dark now to go on the roof and re do the Circuit with 9 panels (I have 10 in...
On another idea ... what if I put 2 strings in parallel like 8 in series + 4 series ? Thinking not to "waste" the unused power.
Or 8 in series where 4 of them are in parallel (12 total) ?
The main "issue" is that the ventilators run continuously even when not needed. The inverter temperature is stable somewhere around 30 degrees celsius. If ventilators run constantly the power consumption of the inverter itself is high. Ventilators should only run in case they are needed.
I have...
Sorry , my bad , batteries are 225AH / 1200Amps
I live in Europe and no Craigslist here :) 190W is the best I could find for the money.
As an alternative I could go with 4 x 400W or 6 x 300W 36V panels.
My budget is limited to around 2000 Eur (USD) for now.
Thanks for the Energy Audit tip ...
Ok .. still confusing ... sorry :(
What I see is ...
If device is Master :
RS485-1 the UART2 Protocol changes automatically to RS485-Protocol 17.
If device is set to Slave the UART2 Protocol changes automatically to 01 JK BMS RS485 Modbus 1.
So if I only need to READ data from BMS , should I...
I'm trying to combine BMS data from JK and Pylontech and make them talk to the inverter.
Made a 15S battery using Pylontech cells and JK BMS and I have 11 more Pylontechs and want to run them all as a pack.
Using this https://github.com/ai-republic/bms-to-inverter/ ... but seems to be pretty...
Deye 12kw .. but I did not got to that part yet ... I am struggling with JK for past 2 days now with Ubuntu and Waveshare RS485. Tomorrow I get a Py and will try from Py also.
Thank you everyone for the input ! Much appreciated.
I am just starting with this and I do not expect to build a perfect system from day one. I like to learn by doing and learn from mistakes is the best learning curve , even if sometimes expensive.
Looking at the GWL link provided by...
Hehehe , it's not a problem ... it's an experiment.
I have 11 Pylontech in a pack.
I took a Pylontech with failed BMS , replaced BMS with JK.
Now I want to use all this 12 batteries as a "Single pack". Can't have Pylontech and JK talk to inverter at the same time. So I need to gather SOC , SOH ...
I am not allowed to inject. I can connect but can't inject.
Have any direction for some of this inverters with sensor ?
Also the grid tie ones that allow grid with 0 export would be interesting when / if I change my actual off grid one.
Thanks in advance.
Bought mine from Czeck republic and price was ok. https://gwl.eu/ I'm pretty impulsive and I just wanted them delivered NOW :)
For now 12 pieces (runing with 10 in one string for now) and I wanna buy 4-6 more and run with 2 parallel strings of 8 or 9 to be on the safe side.
Then I found a...
Hi guys,
Question , maybe stupid ... maybe not so stupid :)
I am wondering if there is any type of Micro Inverter or normal inverter that is able to supply AC power on demand ?
I have set up my off grid system and works pretty nice and I cover 75% of all the power I needed. I pulled new wires...
Hello guys.
Totally new beginner here and as the price of the energy goes up and up I want to install a solar system to offload my consumption.
System would be "off grid" to say so as it will only power a server (takes around 130w /h , 24x24) plus use electricity generated to power up lights in...
Well, GWL seems to be trustworthy and prices are OK in my opinion. I've ordered 8 x 380W panels from them today.
Sadly the Gowatt I wanted it not available until sometime in the middle of April so I am looking at alternatives.

Hi guys.
So finally I have bought an inverter , EaSun SM IV 5.6KW and in the first phase I had 8 panels in series :
VOC 41.3 , MPP Voltage 34.8V at 10Amps. - 380W each.
Everything worked according to plan and I was satisfied with the final results and the installation itself.
After 2 weeks ...
Well, for now I run with 10 in series , waiting for some more PV wiring to come ... was a bit afraid to leave 11 in series.
Temps here ... min I saw was -15 celsius.
For 2 x 6 in series, would the 208V be enough ? ... AC comes in at 220-230V, goes out at same rate. (Europe).
Following :) -- have a 5,6kw from EaSun and was thinking to buy one more ... but if things go like you describe here I might go towards Growatt even if a bit more expensive.
I'm in the process of transitioning from Pylontech passive BMS over to the JK PB active BMS.
Had the JK on a bench setup for a week or so to check how it works, integration with HA and other things ...
Yesterday I started it up , connected to 15 Pylontech pouches (as always) and tried to talk to...
