    48v 100ah Battery Spiking

They're both just off-brand, ordered from China. (I know I know "Well there's your problem right there!" haha) But still hoping someone who understands the machinations of these things can tell me if it might be repairable or if there is some process that I can put it through to get it to stop...

    48v 100ah Battery Spiking

Howdy solar gurus! I am having a problem with my home solar system. I am running approximately 1600w in a 2s2p system that is charging a 100ah, 48v battery. I run that into an inverter and then to a transfer switch and it powers a small area of the house. The battery seems to be malfunctioning...

Help Troubleshooting 100AH 48v Overvoltage Issue

Messing with this a little more today. I ran the battery completely down last night, and just happened to be standing there as it very quickly went through the last few volts (down from like 47, to 46.9, 46.8, 46.7 etc. I think the inverter cut off at about 44, but it was neat to watch those...

Help Troubleshooting 100AH 48v Overvoltage Issue

Howdy solar gurus. I seem to be having a problem with my system shooting out a surge of high voltage every 30 seconds or so when the system is simultaneously charging and also powering its little area of the house. This causes the inverter to shut off and the power to cut off and on in a loop...

    Question about some numbers

It looks like the sweet spots are 56.4 on the high side and 48 on the low side. I had the low set way down at 44 but it didn't seem to like that very much.

    Question about some numbers

Thanks! The system is actually not tied into the grid, per se, but the transfer switch is set to flip back over to grid power when the battery gets below a certain level. My question is more concerning the health of the battery. Thanks again...like how far should I let it get down and then when...

    Question about some numbers

Hi folks, Just trying to get everything to jive right with my solar system. Been reading around online but figured I'd post here to see if anyone had some good solid advice. I'm wondering how I should set my automatic transfer switch's "Low Voltage Transfer Setpoint" and "Battery Recover...

    Building my first solar system!

Got everything all hooked up and connected to the freezer. Of course on the day I got it all together, we're scheduled for like 9 days in a row of rain. "Plan for the worst days, not the best" I guess! Anyway, it all seems to be running. I set the MakeSkyBlue controller according to the...

    Question about MakeSkyBlue charge controller.

I followed the instructions for the MakeSkyBlue controller and set D04 to 1, which is what they recommend for lithium batteries. That was the only thing I changed in there. I did not change anything on D06. D01 says 58 D02 says 58 D03 says 40 Just trying to make sure I'm not overcharging the...

    Do these numbers look right?

The inverter is flashing between DC 54v and AC 110v too.

    Do these numbers look right?

Hey folks! Well, everything finally arrived and I got it all hooked up, so I figured I would hop back on here just to double check and see what anyone thinks about what I've got going on. I am using (4x) 48v 400w panels in a 2S2P configuration to charge a 48v 100ah lithium battery via a...

    Building my first solar system!

They look nice, but maybe a bit pricey. The MakeSkyBlue controller was about $100 and I got the inverter for about $250.
