What is the cheapest way to upgrade to 36v system from 24v?

Yeah, i am getting a 12v for my kayak, and thought maybe i can put it into use on those time i dont go out kayaking. I'll save up for another battery and will go w 2s2p then. I do have a little over 1k array. Thanks y'all for your comment.

What is the cheapest way to upgrade to 36v system from 24v?

Hello, my current set up is a 24v 100ah, 12/24v renogy controller, and a 24/36/48v inverter. I am looking to upgrade from the 24v to 36v, so beside getting another controller, is there any other way (budget preferred) to support charging my pack at a higher voltage? Thanks so much in advance.

    Anyway to charge a 12v battery with a 24v?

My true problem is that due to my budget, my 100ah battery pack doesnt last the entire day, but yet, during peak hours, my array produces more and fully charges this pack, so the BMS stops taking charge. Since i have a couple of 12v but only 20ah (so i cant add them to the 100ah pack) and a...

    Anyway to charge a 12v battery with a 24v?

Sounds interesting. But how can i do that? My current panel array is a 1kw, 60v i think, and i thought it might be too high for 12v scc. Are you saying that i can parallel at the main SCC solar input, another "Y connector"? Thanks

    Anyway to charge a 12v battery with a 24v?

My current system is: panels to 24v SCC to 24v lifepo4 Now i want to also put a 12v and a small inverter to use to power some led. M my question, is there a way to charge the 12v with this system, without a AC charger that is. TiA

Short one negative bus bar, use a circuit breaker instead?

i currently have 3 lugs stack on each other and tightened up with a nut and bolt, but thought a breaker might be a bit better. but now, it sounds like i would be the only one who would put a breaker on the negative wire lol thanks for your response

Short one negative bus bar, use a circuit breaker instead?

Hello all, i didnt plan it out very well and found out that i forgot one more bus bar for the negative wire for 40a SCC + battery + inverter, but then i have a 50a breaker laying around, can i use that instead of a bus bar? so battery will be on one side while the SCC and inverters to be one...

got sparked when connect mppt to battery, bad??

nope. i have nothing else connected, especially the inverter. the SCC wasnt connected to my panels either. just the battery and the bms. is a 40a SCC considered a 'reasonable size capacitor'? it turns on instantly the moment i connect the wire.

got sparked when connect mppt to battery, bad??

Hi, so i just assembled my lifepo4 back, double check everything w bms and all. but when i connected the pos wire (neg has already connected to the bms neg) to the pos battery, i got sparked. nothing else was connected to either battery nor the mppt at the time, and i was 99% sure i didnt...

No bench charger, 'First charge' with SCC instead?

thanks so much again time2roll. so much to learn still lol

No bench charger, 'First charge' with SCC instead?

out of 8, one lowest at 3.226 and two highest at 3.231. should I put them in certain order? does it make any difference? thanks

No bench charger, 'First charge' with SCC instead?

I'm rewatching Will's videos, in this one, his pinned comment said: "Nowadays, you just slap a bms on the cells and it's good to go. It will top balance your pack and you don't need to think about anything. So don't worry about top or bottom balancing. Use a BMS and you are set."
