New 10kw NHX AIO From Watts247

The new srne is now out and parallel capable, check out https://diysolarforum.com/threads/4-mwh-srne-asf48100u200-h-10kw.67809/ It sounds like you are heavily weighting price when it comes to price/reliability. IMO, brands like SolArk, Outback, MidNite (the older proven stuff, not their soon...

Deye vs LVtopsun - Copy, clone, badge-engineering or something else.

Seems to be some banter here about Magnum moving in a undesirable direction. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/i-fear-magnum-is-done.44947/ Have things changed recently with Magnum?

New 10kw NHX AIO From Watts247

IMO. Thinking about it, if I were building a solar system for someone who was remote and the system must be reliable because the that person wasn't great with electrical stuff, I'd probably do something like SolArk or MidNite, not necessarily the new to be out MidNite aio, but their proven...

    1) pylontech protocol canbus 2) 13ms, what is the max before issues? 3) That's a question all of us would like to know the answer to.

Maybe I should have said run a ground back to the central ground/bond point. Doesn't running a ground (back to the central ground/bond) from each array, which are mounted on steel mounts, so, tied to earth, create even more possibilities for catastrophic damage from a difference in potential...

New 10kw NHX AIO From Watts247

No what? If the solar panels are mounted on metal ground mounts, are they not already grounded? In a nearby strike, wouldn't this also create the same difference in potential as grounding the array separately from the central ground electrode? In that scenario, is there any reason to also...

New 10kw NHX AIO From Watts247

@CuriousJohn could you check the pv inputs for ac. I'm curious if this inverter has ac riding on the pv inputs. Which brings us to grounding. I assume it would be better to run a ground back to the central grounding point but, IIRC, NEC allows or recommends grounding at the pv panels...

where to buy mini split, besides amazon&ebay

Have 4 of the Senville Aura. While they seem to be just as efficient cooling as our 10year old geothermal heat pump, they do not seem to be nearly as efficient when heating.

    Circuit breaker fail.

They are just some generic metal enclosures that happen to be about the right size for those breakers and associated wiring. Knock some holes in them for wiring, cut out openings for breakers, drill some small holes for the mounting screws. Maybe not as sexy as the MidNite stuff, but they were...

    Circuit breaker fail.

Now you tell me, :fp2 and I already have some enclosures that would work to front mount those breakers.

I'm thinking the eg4 18k and SolArk can do this.

    Circuit breaker fail.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Ok, for a cheap alternative better than many other options for a small 12v lead-acid system, but IMO, it's a hard no with a larg'ish LiFePo4 bank. FWIW, all the fuses in the home system are class-T. For the first time ever, I'll be adding a dc mccb to the 48v...

    Circuit breaker fail.

Dang. That's not good. So far nothing like that has occurred with pop's system, and we've popped a few of those mrbf fuses. Looking at the fuses, it was hard to even tell they were done.

If he shuts off the mains disconnect at the meter, it cannot feed anything back to grid. If he forgets to turn anti-islanding back on after connecting back to grid, it could be big trouble, dangerous, and have possible legal liability when/if the grid goes down again, although, I postulate the...
