I have spent much of the last 28 years building our home/experimental construction laboratory in the wilderness. In its construction I have endeavored to create something better than the standard, within my growing understanding and abilities. I did not approach this from a background in conventional construction and I tend to question everything, everywhere.
The end result is a home that is vastly superior to the standard in strength, thermal performance, and even its shape with its single plane south facing roof which maximizes its solar energy potential.
